Abstract

In response to a start of a pinch-out operation in a first display area displaying a preview image, display is switched from a first display mode to a second display mode, and in a case where a pinch-in operation in the first display area ends and a display size of the preview image reaches a predetermined threshold, the display is switched from the second display mode to the first display mode.

Claims (56)

1. An image processing apparatus comprising:

a display configured to display a preview image and at least one operation key for instructing processing to be performed on the preview image being displayed;

a user interface configured to receive an enlargement operation performed by a user for enlarging the preview image displayed on the display; and

at least one processor that executes instructions to, upon detecting that a distance between at least two input instruction objects has increased from a state in which the preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, enlarge the preview image displayed on the display, and control the display not to display the operation key,

upon detecting that the distance between the at least two input instruction objects has decreased from a state in which the enlarged preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, reduce the enlarged preview image, and

after detecting a release of at least one of the at least two input instruction objects from the preview image in a state in which the preview image has been reduced, change the operation key that has been in a non-displayed state into a displayed state,

wherein, a change key for changing a page of a preview image including a plurality of pages to another page of the preview image is displayed together with the operation key, the change key and the operation key being displayed in a second display area different from a first display area in which the preview image is displayed, and

wherein, in a case where the preview image is enlarged and the operation key is not displayed, the change key is displayed in the first display area in which the preview image is displayed.

2. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the operation key is a key for an instruction for printing the preview image displayed on the display.

3. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the operation key is a key for an instruction for transmitting the preview image displayed on the display.

4. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the enlargement operation is a pinch-out operation on the first display area where the preview image is displayed.

5. The image processing apparatus according to claim 4 ,

wherein the pinch-out operation is an operation of increasing a distance between two points from a state of a touch at the two points onto the first display area where the preview image is displayed.

6. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein an enlargement key for enlarging the preview image is displayed on the display; and

wherein the enlargement operation is a touch operation of the enlargement key.

7. The image processing apparatus according to claim 6 ,

wherein the preview image is enlarged on the display with a stepwise increase in an enlargement ratio each time when the enlargement key is touched.

8. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein a reduction operation performed by a user for reducing the preview image displayed on the display is received; and

wherein, upon receiving the reduction operation in a state where the operation key is not displayed, the preview image displayed on the display is reduced, and the operation key is displayed.

9. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 ,

wherein, upon receiving the reduction operation, a display magnification of the preview image is calculated; and

wherein the operation key is displayed in a case where the calculated display magnification is not greater than a predetermined value.

10. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 ,

wherein the reduction operation is a pinch-in operation on the first display area where the preview image is displayed.

11. The image processing apparatus according to claim 8 ,

wherein a reduction key for reducing the preview image is displayed on the display; and

wherein the reduction operation is a touch operation of the reduction key.

12. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the display displays the preview image before being enlarged, the first display area, and a file name of the preview image, and

wherein the at least one processor executes instructions to control the display not to display the first display area and the file name upon receiving the enlargement operation.

13. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the display is controlled to further display:

a second key for switching the enlarged preview image into an original state that is before receiving the enlargement operation,

a third key for enlarging the enlarged preview image, and

a fourth key for reducing the enlarged preview image,

wherein the second key is a key for, without stepwise switching, switching the enlarged preview image into the original state that is before receiving the enlargement operation.

14. A method for an apparatus having a display, the method comprising:

displaying, on the display, a preview image and at least one operation key for instructing processing to be performed on the preview image being displayed;

receiving, via a user interface, an enlargement operation performed by a user for enlarging the preview image displayed on the display; and

upon detecting that a distance between at least two input instruction objects has increased from a state in which the preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, enlarging the preview image displayed on the display, and controlling the display not to display the operation key,

upon detecting that the distance between the at least two input instruction objects has decreased from a state in which the enlarged preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, reduce the enlarged preview image, and

after detecting a release of at least one of the at least two input instruction objects from the preview image in a state in which the preview image has been reduced, change the operation key that has been in a non-displayed state into a displayed state,

wherein, a change key for changing a page of a preview image including a plurality of pages to another page of the preview image is displayed together with the operation key, the change key and the operation key being displayed in a second display area different from a first display area in which the preview image is displayed, and

wherein, in a case where the preview image is enlarged and the operation key is not displayed, the change key is displayed in the first display area in which the preview image is displayed.

15. A non-transitory storage medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute a method for an apparatus having a display, the method comprising:

displaying, on the display, a preview image and at least one operation key for instructing processing to be performed on the preview image being displayed;

receiving, via a user interface, an enlargement operation performed by a user for enlarging the preview image displayed on the display; and

upon detecting that a distance between at least two input instruction objects has increased from a state in which the preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, enlarging the preview image displayed on the display, and controlling the display not to display the operation key,

upon detecting that the distance between the at least two input instruction objects has decreased from a state in which the enlarged preview image is touched with the at least two input instruction objects, reduce the enlarged preview image, and

after detecting a release of at least one of the at least two input instruction objects from the preview image in a state in which the preview image has been reduced, change the operation key that has been in a non-displayed state into a displayed state,

wherein, a change key for changing a page of a preview image including a plurality of pages to another page of the preview image is displayed together with the operation key, the change key and the operation key being displayed in a second display area different from a first display area in which the preview image is displayed, and
