Abstract

The invention described in the present specification relates to a backlight unit including a light source including a light emission lamp emitting light including a 450 nm wavelength, and an inorganic fluorescent substance provided at least a part of inside or on a surface of the lamp and having a maximum light emission wavelength in a 510 nm to 560 nm range when irradiating light including a 450 nm wavelength; and a color conversion film including an organic fluorescent substance, and having a maximum light emission wavelength in a 610 nm to 660 nm range when irradiating light emitted from the light emission lamp or the inorganic fluorescent substance, and a display apparatus including the same.

Claims (18)

1. A backlight unit comprising:

a light source including a light emission lamp emitting light including a 450 nm wavelength, and an inorganic fluorescent substance provided at least a part of inside or on a surface of the lamp and having a maximum light emission wavelength in a 510 nm to 560 nm range when irradiating light including a 450 nm wavelength; and

a color conversion film including an organic fluorescent substance, and having a maximum light emission wavelength in a 610 nm to 660 nm range when irradiating light emitted from the light emission lamp or the inorganic fluorescent substance,

wherein a photon number ratio of blue light and green light of light emitted from the light source when applying power to the backlight unit is in a range of 55:45 to 30:70, and

wherein the organic fluorescent substance is at least one selected from the group consisting of a compound of Chemical Formula (1), a compound of Chemical Formula (2), a compound of Chemical Formula (3), a compound of Chemical Formula (4), and a compound of Chemical Formula (5):

wherein R 11 , R 12 and L are the same as or different from each other, and each independently is hydrogen, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkylaryl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkenyl group, an alkynyl group, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxyaryl group, an alkylthio group, an arylether group, an arylthioether group, an aryl group, a haloaryl group, a heteroring group, halogen, a haloalkyl group, a haloalkenyl group, a haloalkynyl group, a cyano group, an aldehyde group, a carbonyl group, a carboxyl group, an ester group, a carbamoyl group, an amino group, a nitro group, a silyl group or a siloxanyl group, or are linked to adjacent substituents to form a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon ring or heteroring,

M is a metal having a valency of m, and is boron, berylium, magnesium, chromium, iron, nickel, copper, zinc or platinum,

Ar 1 to Ar 5 are the same as or different from each other, and each independently is hydrogen; an alkyl group; a haloalkyl group; an alkylaryl group; an amine group; an arylalkenyl group unsubstituted or substituted with an alkoxy group; or an aryl group unsubstituted or substituted with a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group;

wherein R 21 to R 26 are the same as or different from each other, and each independently is hydrogen; deuterium; COO—; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, with the proviso that when any of R 21 to R 26 is further substituted, the substituent may be deuterium, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or an aryloxy group;

wherein R 31 to R 33 are the same as or different from each other, and each independently is hydrogen; deuterium; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, with the proviso that when any of R 31 to R 33 is further substituted, the substituent may be deuterium, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or an aryloxy group;

wherein R 41 to R 44 are the same as or different from each other, and are hydrogen; deuterium; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, with the proviso that when any of R 41 to R 44 is further substituted, the substituent may be deuterium, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or an aryloxy group;

2. The backlight unit of claim 1 , wherein a photon number ratio of blue light and green light of light emitted from the light source when applying power to the backlight unit is in a range of 50:50 to 30:70.

3. The backlight unit of claim 1 , wherein the organic fluorescent substance has a light emission peak with a full width at half maximum of 70 nm or less in a film state.

4. The backlight unit of claim 1 , wherein a light guide plate is provided between the light source and the color conversion film.

5. The backlight unit of claim 1 , further comprising at least one of a light diffusing film, a light concentrating film and a brightness enhancing film provided on a surface of the color conversion film opposite to a surface facing the light source.

6. The backlight unit of claim 1 , further comprising a reflecting plate provided on a surface of the light source opposite to a surface facing the color conversion film.

7. The backlight unit of claim 1 , wherein the color conversion film includes a resin matrix; and the organic fluorescent substance is dispersed in the resin matrix.

8. A display apparatus comprising the backlight unit of claim 1 .
