Abstract

A vehicle includes: a motor including a stator and a rotor; an inverter configured to drive the motor; a battery, which is rechargeable; and a controller configured to change a position of the rotor based on whether the position of the rotor is identical to a predetermined position. Additionally, the controller is configured to control the inverter such that the battery is charged after the position of the rotor changes.
