Abstract

Implementations of the present disclosure include actions of receiving image data of an image capturing a scene, receiving data describing one or more entities determined from the scene, the one or more entities being determined from the scene, determining one or more actions based on the one or more entities, each action being provided at least partly based on search results from searching the one or more entities, and providing instructions to display an action interface comprising one or more action elements, each action element being to induce execution of a respective action, the action interface being displayed in a viewfinder.

Claims (29)

1. A computer-implemented method executed using one or more processors, the method comprising:

receiving, by the one or more processors, image data that is displayed in a viewfinder of a camera device and depicting a scene viewed by the camera device, wherein the viewfinder is provided in a camera application currently executing on the user device;

receiving, by the one or more processors, data describing a plurality of entities determined from the scene, the plurality of entities being entities that are depicted in the scene viewed by the camera device;

providing the data describing the plurality of entities determined from the scene to a search system, wherein the data describing the plurality of entities are provided as search terms for a search by the search system;

receiving, by the one or more processors, search results from searching, by the search system, the terms describing the plurality of entities, each of the search results being responsive to at least one of the entities of the plurality of entities;

determining, from the search results, annotations that relate to at least two or more of the plurality entities determined from the scene;

determining, by the one or more processors, information content for the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other, the information content determined based on the annotations determined from the search results from searching the terms describing the plurality of entities, the information content being descriptive of the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other;

providing, by the one or more processors, instructions to display an information frame that includes the information content and being displayed in the viewfinder of the camera device in which the image data is currently displayed, and wherein the image is pre-capture data.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the instructions to display the information frame that includes the information content cause the information frame to be displayed with the image data in the viewfinder.

3. A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

a non-transitory computer storage medium in data communication with the one or more processors and storing instructions executable by the one or more processors and that upon such execution cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

receiving, by the one or more processors, image data that is displayed in a viewfinder of a camera device and depicting a scene viewed by the camera device, wherein the viewfinder is provided in a camera application currently executing on the user device;

receiving, by the one or more processors, data describing a plurality of entities determined from the scene, the plurality of entities being entities that are depicted in the scene viewed by the camera device;

providing the data describing the plurality of entities determined from the scene to a search system, wherein the data describing the plurality of entities are provided as search terms for a search by the search system;

receiving, by the one or more processors, search results from searching, by the search system, the terms describing the plurality of entities, each of the search results being responsive to at least one of the entities of the plurality of entities;

determining, from the search results, annotations that relate to at least two or more of the plurality entities determined from the scene;

determining, by the one or more processors, information content for the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other, the information content determined based on the annotations determined from the search results from searching the terms describing the plurality of entities, the information content being descriptive of the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other;

providing, by the one or more processors, instructions to display an information frame that includes the information content and being displayed in the viewfinder of the camera device in which the image data is currently displayed, and wherein the image is pre-capture data.

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the instructions to display the information frame that includes the information content cause the information frame to be displayed with the image data in the viewfinder.

5. A non-transitory computer storage medium and storing instructions executable by one or more processors and that upon such execution cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving, by the one or more processors, image data that is displayed in a viewfinder of a camera device and depicting a scene viewed by the camera device, wherein the viewfinder is provided in a camera application currently executing on the user device;

receiving, by the one or more processors, data describing a plurality of entities determined from the scene, the plurality of entities being entities that are depicted in the scene viewed by the camera device;

providing the data describing the plurality of entities determined from the scene to a search system, wherein the data describing the plurality of entities are provided as search terms for a search by the search system;

receiving, by the one or more processors, search results from searching, by the search system, the terms describing the plurality of entities, each of the search results being responsive to at least one of the entities of the plurality of entities;

determining, from the search results, annotations that relate to at least two or more of the plurality entities determined from the scene;

determining, by the one or more processors, information content for the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other, the information content determined based on the annotations determined from the search results from searching the terms describing the plurality of entities, the information content being descriptive of the two or more entities that are determined to be related to each other;

providing, by the one or more processors, instructions to display an information frame that includes the information content and being displayed in the viewfinder of the camera device in which the image data is currently displayed, and wherein the image is pre-capture data.

6. The non-transitory computer storage medium of claim 5 , wherein the instructions to display the information frame that includes the information content cause the information frame to be displayed with the image data in the viewfinder.
