Abstract

A firearm training tool having a shot indicating system configured to provide a training rifle with a shot indicating laser activated by pressing a trigger rearward.

Claims (21)

1. A dry fire system in a firearm for training, comprising:

an upper receiver having a laser mounted thereto;

an inert lower receiver having a switch, the inert lower receiver operatively configured to be mounted to an upper receiver; and

a trigger module mounted in the inert lower receiver, the trigger module having a trigger and configured to close the switch in the inert lower receiver, wherein the trigger, when pressed rearward within the trigger module, closes the switch and only activates the laser and not fire the firearm.

2. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the inert lower receiver adapted to accept magazines to train magazine changes.

3. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the laser stays on when the trigger is pressed rearwardly.

4. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the laser is mounted to align an output laser down a barrel mounted to the upper receiver.

5. The dry fire system as recited in claim 4 , wherein the laser stays on when the trigger is pressed rearwardly.

6. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the upper receiver is one of the following: a HK rifles, G3, AR15, M4, M16, AK-47, SKS, MP5, SIG 556, FN, Galil, or FAL.

7. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the trigger module is an adjustable trigger comprising electrical contacts to activate the laser when the switch is closed.

8. The dry fire system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the inert lower receiver comprises attachments location to attach grips and butt stocks.

9. A method for operating a dry fire system in a firearm for training, the method comprising:

handling the dry fire system comprising:

an upper receiver having a laser mounted thereto;

an inert lower receiver having a switch, the inert lower receiver operatively configured to be mounted to an upper receiver; and

a trigger module mounted in the inert lower receiver, the trigger module having a trigger and configured to close the switch in the inert lower receiver,

pressing the trigger rearwardly within the trigger module to close the switch and only activate the laser and not fire the firearm.

10. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the inert lower receiver adapted to accept magazines to train magazine changes.

11. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein pressing the trigger rearwardly enables the laser stays.

12. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the laser is mounted to align an output laser down a barrel mounted to the upper receiver.

13. The method as recited in claim 9 , wherein the trigger module is an adjustable trigger comprising electrical contacts to activate the laser when the switch is closed.
