Abstract

An image signal decoding method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: decoding information indicating whether a current block is encoded using a multi-mode intra prediction; when it is determined that the current block is encoded in the multi-mode intra prediction, dividing the current block into a plurality of partial blocks; and obtaining an intra prediction mode of each of the plurality of partial blocks.

wherein the second prediction information for predicting the second partition is determined based on second index information, the second index information specifying one of the plurality of candidates in the candidate list and being signaled by a bitstream.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the reference line is determined based on two positions on sides of the current block, one of two positions being located at a different side from the other of two positions.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the reference line includes a position of a right-top sample of the current block and a bottom-left sample of the current block.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the reference line is determined based on first information, the first information being encoded to determine a division type of the current block.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the first information includes information about at least one of the slope or the position of the reference line.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the current block includes the first partition and the second partition, and

wherein a prediction value of a boundary region between the first partition and the second partition is obtained by interpolating a first prediction value of the first partition and a second prediction value of the second partition.

7. A method for encoding a video signal with an encoding apparatus, comprising:

generating a candidate list of a current block based on neighboring blocks adjacent to the current block, the neighboring blocks including a top neighboring block and a left neighboring block;

determining, with the encoding apparatus, a reference line for dividing a current block, the reference line being determined to be one of a plurality of candidate reference lines, each of the candidate reference lines being distinguished based on at least one of a predetermined slope or a position;

dividing, with the encoding apparatus, the current block into two or more partitions, based on the determined reference line; and

predicting, with the encoding apparatus, the current block based on the candidate list and prediction information for each of the partitions,

wherein a shape of at least one of the divided partitions is a triangle,
