Abstract

The present embodiments relate to a method and an apparatus for acquiring location information of a terminal by using a wireless communication system. An embodiment provides an apparatus for measuring location information of a terminal, the apparatus comprising: at least one downlink signal receiver; at least one uplink signal receiver; and a controller for controlling the downlink signal receiver and the uplink signal receiver, wherein the controller configures uplink resource allocation information on the basis of control information received by the downlink signal receiver, and determines, on the basis of the uplink resource allocation information, whether to receive an uplink signal.

Claims (17)

1. An apparatus for measuring location information of a User Equipment (UE), the apparatus comprising:

one or more downlink signal receivers;

one or more uplink signal receivers; and

a controller configured to control the downlink signal receivers and the uplink signal receivers,

wherein the controller configures uplink resource allocation information, based on control information received by the downlink signal receivers and determines whether an uplink signal is received based on the uplink resource allocation information.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an antenna used by the downlink receiver and an antenna used by the uplink receiver are different from each other.

3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller determines whether an uplink signal is received for each of the uplink signal receivers.

4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller determines whether an uplink signal is received by comparing average reception power of the uplink signal received by the uplink signal receiver with a preset threshold reception power.

5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the controller determines whether an uplink signal is received based on whether the uplink signal received by the uplink signal receiver can be demodulated and decoded.

6. A method of measuring location information of a User Equipment (UE), the method comprising:

receiving downlink control information through one or more downlink signal receivers;

configuring uplink resource allocation information, based on the downlink control information; and

attempting to receive an uplink signal through one or more uplink signal receivers, based on the uplink resource allocation information and determining whether the uplink signal is received.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein an antenna used by the downlink receiver and an antenna used by the uplink receiver are different from each other.

8. The method of claim 6 , wherein whether uplink data information is received is determined for each of the uplink signal receiver.

9. The method of claim 6 , wherein whether an uplink signal is received is determined by comparing average reception power of the uplink signal received by the uplink signal receiver with a pre-calculated or preset threshold reception power.

10. The method of claim 6 , whether an uplink signal is received is determined based on whether the uplink signal received by the uplink signal receiver can be demodulated and decoded.
