Abstract

A cloud migration system for automated monitoring of compliance with cloud migration protocols includes one or more processors configured to execute stored software instructions to: identify a plurality of cloud migration control parameters for assessing cloud deployment readiness of software technology assets; access a Configuration Management Database to identify a plurality of technology assets; access a cloud computing platform to determine a plurality of tagged technology assets; continually determine an efficiency position for the plurality of tagged technology assets based at least on workload utilization for each tagged technology asset; continually determine a cloud migration implementation status based on at least one transition statistic; and generate interface data representing a status of each of the plurality of technology assets according to the efficiency position and cloud migration implementation status.

2. The cloud migration system of claim 1 , wherein

patching includes a percentage of virtual appliances created within an immediately prior time period;

encryption includes a percentage of data volumes associated with a storage resource that are encrypted data volumes;

resiliency includes a percentage of technology assets that are associated with an autoscaling group; and

tagging includes a percentage of technology assets identified in the cloud computing platform according to a predetermined format.

3. The cloud migration system of claim 2 , wherein the architectural component parameters are identified according to a classification of each technology asset as one of a computing resource, a network resource, and a storage resource.

4. The cloud migration system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of cloud migration control parameters is identified according to operational criteria and cost metrics.

5. The cloud migration system of claim 4 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving a selection of a portfolio group from among a plurality of portfolio groups; and

determining, for the selected portfolio group, at least one cloud resource employed by the portfolio group.

6. The cloud migration system of claim 5 , wherein

the operational criteria and cost metrics are defined on a portfolio group basis; and

the generated interface data represents an aggregate status of the plurality of technology assets associated with only the selected portfolio group according to the architectural optimization, efficiency position, and cloud migration implementation status determinations.

7. The cloud migration system of claim 1 , wherein

the generated interface data configures a display to present a plot point on a coordinate plane corresponding to an asset of the plurality of technology assets, the plot point having a position based on the efficiency position and the architectural optimization position, and a size based on the cloud migration implementation status.

8. The cloud migration system of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving filtering criteria from a user, and

generating updated interface data configuring the display to present plot points corresponding to at least one asset meeting the received filtering criteria.

9. The cloud migration system of claim 8 , wherein

the filtering criteria includes a selection of an architectural criterion, and

the updated interface data provides an architectural optimization position determined for a technology asset according to an architectural component parameter of the technology asset associated with the selected architectural criterion.

10. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

identifying a plurality of cloud migration control parameters for assessing cloud deployment readiness of software technology assets;

accessing a cloud computing platform to obtain utilization data for a plurality of technology assets;

continually determining an efficiency position for each of the plurality of technology assets based at least on workload utilization for each technology asset;

continually determining a cloud migration implementation status based on at least one transition statistic; and

generating interface data representing a status of at least one of the plurality of technology assets according to the efficiency position and cloud migration implementation status wherein the status of each of the plurality of technology assets further includes an architectural optimization position based on architectural component parameters comprising at least one of patching, encryption, resiliency, or tagging.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 10 , wherein

patching includes a percentage of virtual appliances created within an immediately prior time period;

encryption includes a percentage of data volumes associated with a storage resource that are encrypted data volumes;

resiliency includes a percentage of technology assets that are associated with an autoscaling group; and

tagging includes a percentage of technology assets identified in the cloud computing platform according to a predetermined format.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the architectural component parameters are identified according to a classification of each technology asset as one of a computing resource, a network resource, and a storage resource.
