Abstract

Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for technology that selects an anti-aliasing mode for a vertex of a primitive based on a parameter associated with the vertex and generates a coverage mask based on the selected anti-aliasing mode. Additionally, one or more pixels corresponding to the vertex may be shaded based at least partly on the coverage mask, wherein the selected anti-aliasing mode varies across a plurality of vertices in the primitive.

Claims (19)

1. At least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising a set of instructions, which when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to:

generate a lookup table that is to be programmable;

program the lookup table to include shading rate related data, wherein the shading rate related data includes a first parameter that corresponds to a first shading rate, further wherein the shading rate related data includes a second parameter that corresponds to a second shading rate, wherein the first shading rate is lower than the second shading rate, wherein the first shading rate is associated with a first object that is to be moving, and the second shading rate is associated with a second object at a different position from the first object; and

assign a shading operation associated with a viewport and the shading rate related data so that a first region is shaded at the first shading rate and a second region is shaded at the second shading rate.

2. The at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein a graphics pipeline is to access the lookup table to identify the shading rate related data from the lookup table to execute the shading operation.

3. The at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the first object is to be blurred.

4. The at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the first object is to be moving relative to the second object.

5. The at least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the second object is stationary.

6. A computing system comprising:

a graphics processor;

a central processing unit; and

a memory including a set of instructions, which when executed by one or more of the graphics processor or the central processing unit, cause the computing system to:

generate a lookup table that is to be programmable;

program the lookup table to include shading rate related data, wherein the shading rate related data includes a first parameter that corresponds to a first shading rate, further wherein the shading rate related data includes a second parameter that corresponds to a second shading rate, wherein the first shading rate is lower than the second shading rate, wherein the first shading rate is associated with a first object that is to be moving, and the second shading rate is associated with a second object at a different position from the first object; and

assign a shading operation associated with a viewport and the shading rate related data so that a first region is shaded at the first shading rate and a second region is shaded at the second shading rate.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein a graphics pipeline is to access the lookup table to identify the shading rate related data from the lookup table to execute the shading operation.

8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first object is to be blurred.

9. The system of claim 6 , wherein the first object is to be moving relative to the second object.

10. The system of claim 6 , wherein the second object is stationary.
