Abstract

A wireless device may determine a second reservation period in units of slots based on a first reservation period in milli-second (ms) and a number of sidelink slots within a fixed period. The number of the sidelink slots may be based on a resource pool configuration. The wireless device may transmit a transport block via one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period.

Claims (37)

1. A method comprising:

determining, by a first wireless device, a second reservation period in units of slots based on a first reservation period in milli-second (ms) and a number of sidelink slots within a fixed period, wherein the number of the sidelink slots is based on a resource pool configuration; and

transmitting a transport block via one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first reservation period is received from a higher layer of the first wireless device.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first reservation period is transmitted to a second wireless device via sidelink control information (SCI).

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the resource pool configuration indicates one or more sidelink slots within the fixed period.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining comprises converting the first reservation period in milli-seconds to the second reservation period in units of slots based on the number of the sidelink slots within the fixed period.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fixed period is a 20 ms.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the number of the sidelink slots within the fixed period is further based on a number of valid sidelink slots; and

a valid sidelink slot of the valid sidelink slots has greater number of uplink symbols than a threshold.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the threshold is indicated from a base station.

9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the number of the sidelink slots is further based on a slot format configuration.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the slot format configuration is a cell-specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) configuration.

11. A first wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the first wireless device to:

determine a second reservation period in units of slots based on a first reservation period in milli-second (ms) and a number of sidelink slots within a fixed period, wherein the number of the sidelink slots is based on a resource pool configuration; and

transmit a transport block via one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period.

12. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the first reservation period is received from a higher layer of the first wireless device.

13. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the first reservation period is transmitted to a second wireless device via sidelink control information (SCI).

14. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the resource pool configuration indicates one or more sidelink slots within the fixed period.

15. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the determining comprises converting the first reservation period in milli-seconds to the second reservation period in units of slots based on the number of the sidelink slots within the fixed period.

16. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein:

the number of the sidelink slots within the fixed period is further based on a number of valid sidelink slots; and

a valid sidelink slot of the valid sidelink slots has greater number of uplink symbols than a threshold.

17. The first wireless device of claim 16 , wherein the threshold is indicated from a base station.

18. The first wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the number of the sidelink slots is further based on a slot format configuration.

19. The first wireless device of claim 18 , wherein the slot format configuration is a cell-specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) configuration.

20. A system comprising:

a base station; and

a first wireless device comprising: one or more first processors and first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause the first wireless device to:

determine a second reservation period in units of slots based on a first reservation period in milli-second (ms) and a number of sidelink slots within a fixed period, wherein the number of the sidelink slots is based on a resource pool configuration; and

transmit a transport block via one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period; and

a second wireless device comprising: one or more second processors and second memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more second processors, cause the second wireless device to:

determine the second reservation period in units of slots based on the first reservation period in milli-second (ms) and the number of sidelink slots within the fixed period, wherein the number of the sidelink slots is based on the resource pool configuration; and

receive the transport block via the one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period.
