Abstract

An organic electroluminescence element including an anode, a plurality of organic functional layers including a light-emitting layer, and a cathode in that order wherein the organic functional layer containing a compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (1) is arranged between the light-emitting layer and the cathode, wherein X, X 1 to X 12 , R 1 , and L 1 are as defined in the specification.

Claims (20)

1. An organic electroluminescence element comprising an anode, a plurality of organic functional layers including a light-emitting layer, and a cathode in that order,

wherein the organic functional layer containing a compound having a structure represented by the following general formula (2) is arranged between the light-emitting layer and the cathode:

wherein X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; X 1 to X 10 each independently represent CR 1 or a nitrogen atom; one of X 5 and X 7 represents a nitrogen atom and the other represents CR 1 ; one of X 8 and X 10 represents a nitrogen atom and the other represents CR 1 ; X 13 to X 16 each independently represent CR 1 or a nitrogen atom;

R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent selected from the group consisting of:

L 1 represents a divalent linking group selected from the group consisting of:

2. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein X 5 and X 10 represent a nitrogen atom.

3. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein X 7 and X 8 represent a nitrogen atom.

4. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein X 5 and X 8 represent a nitrogen atom.

5. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein X 7 and X 10 represent a nitrogen atom.

6. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein X 1 to X 4 represent CR 1 .

7. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of X 1 to X 4 represents a nitrogen atom.

8. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 ,

wherein the cathode comprises silver as a main component, and

wherein the organic functional layer containing the compound having the structure represented by the general formula (2) is provided adjacent to the cathode.

9. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein the cathode has a thickness of 15 nm or less.

10. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 ,

wherein the cathode has a light transmittance of 50% or more, and

wherein the cathode has a sheet resistance value of 25Ω/□ or less.

11. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein the organic functional layer containing the compound having the structure represented by the general formula (2) further comprises an electron injection material.

12. The organic electroluminescence element according to claim 1 , wherein the organic functional layer containing the compound having the structure represented by the general formula (2), an electron injection layer containing an electron injection material, and the cathode are stacked in that order.
