Abstract

Embodiments of the present subject matter provide a local profile management method, an embedded universal integrated circuit card, and a terminal. The embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) includes a primary platform and at least one installed bundle. The primary platform is a hardware platform. Each bundle includes at least one profile and an operating system (OS). The primary platform includes a processing module, which is configured to: receive a first message sent by a local profile assistant (LPA), where the first message is an operation instruction entered by a user; and separately send a second message to at least one OS corresponding to the at least one bundle, where the second message is used by the at least one OS to perform a corresponding operation. Local management of profiles of different OSs is implemented by using the processing module disposed on the primary platform of the eUICC.

4. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:

send a third message to the LPA, wherein the third message is used to instruct the LPA to send the first message to the at least one processor when the LPA receives an operation instruction by user input.

5. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor comprises an issuer security domain-root (ISD-R).

6. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the first profile identifier comprises a first integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) and the second profile identifier comprises a second integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID).

7. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:

update a profile list based on the first bundle downloaded and installed by the iUICC.

8. The device according to claim 7 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:

update the profile list based on the second bundle downloaded and installed by the iUICC.

9. A device comprising:

a processor chip;

a memory configured to store a local profile assistant (LPA); and

an integrated universal integrated circuit card (iUICC), embedded in the processor chip, comprising:

a first bundle comprising a first profile and a first chip operating system (COS), the first profile having a first profile identifier that uniquely identifies the first profile, the first bundle having a first bundle identifier, the first profile comprising a first collection of data and applications of an operator, and a first profile policy rules (PPR);

a second bundle comprising a second profile and a second chip operating system (COS), the second profile having a second profile identifier that uniquely identifies the second profile, the second bundle having a second bundle identifier, the second profile comprising a second collection of data and applications of an operator, and a second profile policy rules (PPR),

wherein the first profile is enabled and the second profile is not enabled;

wherein the LPA is configured for:

receiving an operation instruction for enabling the second profile indicated by user input;

determining that the second profile is installed in the second COS;

obtaining the first PPR of the first profile; and

performing a first operation according to the first PPR.

10. The device according to claim 9 , wherein the performing the first operation according to the first PPR comprises:

displaying information indicating that the second profile cannot be enabled when the LPA determines that the first profile is not allowed to be disabled according to the first PPR.

11. The device according to claim 9 , wherein the first profile identifier comprises a first integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) and the second profile identifier comprises a second integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID).

12. The device according to claim 9 , wherein the LPA is further configured to:

update a profile list based on the first bundle downloaded and installed by the iUICC.

13. The wireless communications device according to claim 9 , wherein the LPA is further configured to:

update the profile list based on the second bundle downloaded and installed by the iUICC.

14. A method for managing a local profile, wherein the method applies in a wireless communications device, wherein the wireless communication device comprises:
