Abstract

A device for limiting or keeping constant a quantity of fluid flowing therethrough, includes: a housing with a front chamber and a rear chamber; a partition arranged in the housing with two or more openings; and a flow limiting element arranged in one or both openings. The flow limiting element includes a housing provided with an inlet, an outlet and a throughflow opening; and a resilient plate-like valve element mounted in the housing, substantially able to close the throughflow opening by resilient movement in the direction of a valve seat arranged in the housing adjacently of the throughflow opening. The valve element is fixed on one side and can move resiliently on the opposite side in the direction of the valve seat. A mould produces one or more injection-moulded products. The injection-moulded product is a flow limiter for limiting the force of the flow of a fluid flowing therethrough.

3. The flow limiting element according to claim 1 , wherein at least a part of a surface of the valve seat extends on a side remote from a fixed side of the resilient plate-like valve element such that a distance between the valve seat and the resilient plate-like valve element is greater at a position of an outer peripheral edge of the valve seat than at a position of an inner peripheral edge of the valve seat.

4. The flow limiting element according claim 3 , wherein said part of the surface of the valve seat extends obliquely from the fixation point toward the housing.

5. The flow limiting element according to claim 3 , wherein a distance between an outer and an inner diameter of said part of the surface of the valve seat amounts to 5% to 40%, of the distance between the fixed side of the resilient part of the valve element and a resiliently movable outer end of the resilient plate-like valve element.

6. The flow limiting element according to claim 3 , wherein the valve seat has between said part of the surface of the valve seat and the fixation point of the resilient plate-like valve element at least one recess which locally increases the distance between the resilient plate-like valve element and the valve seat.

7. The flow limiting element according to claim 1 , wherein a surface of the valve seat is curved such that a distance between the valve seat and the freely moving part of the valve element is greater at an end of a resiliently movable part of the resilient plate-like valve element than at the fixation point.

8. The flow limiting element according to claim 1 , wherein the resilient plate-like valve element is mounted releasably in the housing.

9. The flow limiting element according to claim 1 , wherein the resilient plate-like valve element is supported on a support point in the housing by an eccentric hole in the resilient plate-like valve element.

10. The flow limiting element according to claim 9 , wherein the housing includes a cushion part which, together with the support point, determines a degree of clamping of the resilient plate-like valve element at an end of the fixed part of the resilient plate-like valve element.

11. The flow limiting element according to claim 1 , wherein the resilient plate-like valve element is of sheet steel.

12. A flow limiting element, comprising: a housing provided with an inlet, an outlet and a throughflow opening; and a resilient plate-like valve element which is mounted in the housing and configured to substantially close the throughflow opening by resilient movement in a direction of the valve seat, the valve seat having at least one cam part extending toward the resilient plate-like valve element, the at least one cam part configured to prevent closure of the resilient plate-like valve element, the valve seat being arranged in the housing adjacently of the throughflow opening, wherein the resilient plate-like valve element is fixed on one side at a fixation point and the resilient plate-like valve element can move resiliently on an opposite side in the direction of the valve seat, wherein at least a part of a surface of the valve seat extends on a side remote from a fixed side of the valve element such that a distance between the valve seat and the valve element is greater at a position of an outer peripheral edge of the valve seat than at a position of an inner peripheral edge of the valve seat.

13. The flow limiting element according to claim 12 , wherein the valve seat has between said part of the valve seat and the fixation point of the resilient plate-like valve element at least one recess which locally increases the distance between the resilient plate-like valve element and the valve seat.
