Abstract

An electro-optical device is provided and includes a plurality of first signal lines extending in a first direction on a substrate; a plurality of second signal lines extending in a second direction on the substrate, the second direction intersecting the first direction; a pixel area in which a plurality of pixel electrodes are disposed; an outer peripheral edge of the pixel area having a curved portion or a bent portion; and a first circuit block, a second circuit block, and a third circuit block arranged along the outer peripheral edge, wherein the second circuit block is arranged between the first circuit block and the first circuit block, and a first gap between the first circuit bock and the second circuit block is different from a second gap between the second circuit block and the third circuit block.

Claims (37)

1. An electro-optical device comprising:

a plurality of first signal lines extending in a first direction on a substrate;

a plurality of second signal lines extending in a second direction on the substrate, the second direction intersecting the first direction;

a pixel area in which a plurality of pixel electrodes are disposed; an outer peripheral edge of the pixel area having a curved portion or a bent portion; and

a first circuit block, a second circuit block, and a third circuit block arranged along the outer peripheral edge, wherein

the second circuit block is arranged between the first circuit block and the third circuit block,

a first gap between the first circuit block and the second circuit block in the first direction is different from a second gap between the second circuit block and the third circuit block in the second direction,

lines connected with the first circuit block, the second circuit block, and the third circuit block are arranged in the first gap and the second gap, and

the first circuit block does not overlap with the second circuit block in the first direction.

2. The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , the second circuit block is closer to the third circuit block than the first circuit block.

3. The electro-optical device according to claim 1 ,

at least one of the first circuit block, the second circuit block, and the third circuit block includes a shift register and a buffer adjacent to the shift register in the first direction.

4. The electro-optical device according to claim 1 ,

each of the first circuit block, the second circuit block, and the third circuit block includes two shift registers arranged in the second direction and two buffers arranged in the second direction, and the buffers are adjacent to the shift registers in the first direction.

5. The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , wherein

the substrate has an outer peripheral edge along the outer peripheral edge of the pixel area.

6. An electro-optical device comprising:

a plurality of first signal lines extending in a first direction on a substrate;

a plurality of second signal lines extending in a second direction on the substrate, the second direction intersecting the first direction;

a pixel area in which a plurality of pixel electrodes are disposed;

an outer peripheral edge of the pixel area having a curved portion or a bent portion;

a first circuit block, a second circuit block, and a third circuit block arranged along the outer peripheral edge, wherein

the second circuit block is arranged between the first circuit block and the third circuit block,

the first circuit block has a first side close to and along the outer peripheral edge, the first side facing toward the pixel area,

the second circuit block has a second side close to and along the outer peripheral edge, the second side facing toward the pixel area,

the third circuit block has a third side close to and along the outer peripheral edge, the third side facing toward the pixel area,

a first distance between the first side and the second side in the first direction is different from a second distance between the second side and the third side in the first direction,

lines connected with the first circuit block, the second circuit block, and the third circuit block are arranged in an area between the first circuit block and the second circuit block, and in an area between the second circuit block and the third circuit block, and

the first circuit block does not overlap with the second circuit block in the first direction.

7. The electro-optical device according to claim 6 ,

the first distance is greater than the second distance.

8. The electro-optical device according to claim 6 ,

each of the first circuit block, the second circuit block, and the third circuit block includes a shift register and a buffer adjacent to the shift register in the first direction.

9. The electro-optical device according to claim 6 ,
