Abstract

An endoscope includes: a barrel having an opening of a through hole on an outer surface; a lens inserted into the through hole and having a distal end surface which protrudes from the outer surface; a first resin disposed between a wall surface of the through hole and a side surface of the lens; and a second resin disposed on a surface of the first resin, a portion of the barrel disposed around the opening, and an entire circumference of an outer peripheral portion of the distal end surface of the lens, the second resin forming a protruding portion which protrudes from the distal end surface of the optical member, containing light blocking particles, and having a larger fracture toughness value than the first resin.

Claims (39)

1. An endoscope comprising:

an insertion section comprising;

a barrel disposed on a distal end portion of the insertion section and having an opening of a through hole in an outer surface;

an optical member inserted into the through hole and having a distal end surface which is disposed in a protruding manner from the outer surface;

a first resin disposed between a wall surface of the through hole and a side surface of the optical member; and

a second resin disposed on a surface of the first resin, a portion of the barrel disposed around the opening, and an entire circumference of an outer peripheral portion of the distal end surface of the optical member, the second resin having a second fracture toughness value larger than a first fracture toughness value of the first resin.

2. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the optical member has a cutout on the outer peripheral portion of the distal end surface, and the second resin is disposed only on the cutout of the optical member, the surface of the first resin and on the portion of the barrel disposed around the opening.

3. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the second fracture toughness value of the second resin is two times or larger than the first fracture toughness value of the first resin.

4. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the second resin is a fiber-reinforced resin containing one of organic material fibers or carbon fibers.

5. The endoscope according to claim 4 , wherein the second resin uses a same thermo-setting resin as the first resin as a base material.

6. The endoscope according to claim 5 , wherein the base material is an epoxy resin.

7. The endoscope according to claim 4 , wherein the second resin contains fibers having a maximum length of 50 μm or less.

8. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein further comprising a gap disposed at one or more of:

between the first resin and the wall surface of the through hole; and

between the first resin and the side surface of the optical member,

wherein the second resin is further disposed in the gap.

9. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the optical member is a distal end member of at least one of an illumination optical system and an image pickup optical system.

10. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the second resin forming a protruding portion which protrudes from the distal end surface of the optical member.

11. The endoscope according to claim 10 , wherein

the distal end surface of the optical member protrudes from the outer surface of the barrel by 10 μm or more and 150 μm or less, and

the protruding portion of the second resin protrudes from the distal end surface by 1 μm or more and 100 μm or less.

12. The endoscope according to claim 1 , wherein the second resin containing light blocking particles.
