Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a vehicular electronic device including a power supply configured to supply power, an interface configured to receive HD map data on a specific area and data on the location of a vehicle from a server through a communication device, and at least one processor configured to continuously generate electronic horizon data on a specific area based on the high-definition (HD) map data in the state of receiving the power, wherein, upon determining, based on the data on the location of the vehicle, that the traveling lane of the vehicle located at an intersection is different from a lane corresponding to a main path included in the electronic horizon data, the at least one processor changes the electronic horizon data based on the traveling lane.

Claims (52)

a power supply configured to supply power;

an interface configured to receive, from a server through a communication device, high definition (HD) map data on a specific area and data on a location of a vehicle; and

at least one processor configured to continuously generate electronic horizon data regarding the specific area based on the HD map data in a state of receiving the power from the power supply,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on a determination according to the data on the location of the vehicle that the vehicle is in a state before entering an intersection and a traveling lane of the vehicle located at the intersection is different from a lane corresponding to a traveling route to a destination included in the electronic horizon data, change the electronic horizon data based on the traveling lane,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to change, based on the traveling lane, the traveling route included in the electronic horizon data before the vehicle enters the intersection,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on a determination that the traveling lane is a straight lane, change the traveling route to the straight lane at the intersection,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on a determination that the traveling lane is a left-turn lane, change the traveling route to the left-turn lane at the intersection, and

wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on a determination that the traveling lane is a right-turn lane, change the traveling route to the right-turn lane at the intersection.

2. The vehicular electronic device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

acquire information about an upcoming signal of a traffic light located at the intersection, and

change the electronic horizon data based on the information about the upcoming signal of the traffic light.

3. The vehicular electronic device of claim 2 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on the traveling lane being the straight lane and the upcoming signal being a straight signal, change the traveling route to the straight lane at the intersection,

wherein, based on the traveling lane being the left-turn lane and the upcoming signal being a left-turn signal, change the traveling route to the left-turn lane at the intersection, and

wherein, based on the traveling lane being the right-turn lane and the upcoming signal being a right-turn signal, change the traveling route to the right-turn lane at the intersection.

4. An operation method of a vehicular electronic device, the method comprising:

receiving, by at least one processor, power from a power supply;

receiving, by the at least one processor, high definition (HD) map data on a specific area from a server through a communication device in a state of receiving the power;

generating, by the at least one processor, electronic horizon data regarding the specific area based on the HD map data in a state of receiving the power;

determining, by the at least one processor, whether a vehicle is in a state before entering an intersection;

determining, by the at least one processor, whether a traveling lane of the vehicle is different from a lane corresponding to a traveling route included in the electronic horizon data; and

based on a determination that the vehicle is in the state before entering the intersection and the traveling lane of the vehicle located at the intersection is different from the lane corresponding to the traveling route, changing, by the at least one processor, the electronic horizon data based on the traveling lane,

wherein changing the electronic horizon data comprises:

changing, based on the traveling lane, the traveling route included in the electronic horizon data before the vehicle enters the intersection,

based on a determination that the traveling lane is a straight lane, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the straight lane at the intersection,

based on a determination that the traveling lane is a left-turn lane, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the left-turn lane at the intersection, and

based on a determination that the traveling lane is a right-turn lane, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the right-turn lane at the intersection.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein changing the electronic horizon data comprises:

acquiring, by the at least one processor, information about an upcoming signal of a traffic light located at the intersection; and

changing, by the at least one processor, the electronic horizon data based on the information about the upcoming signal of the traffic light.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein changing the electronic horizon data comprises:

based on the traveling lane being the straight lane and the upcoming signal being a straight signal, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the straight lane at the intersection;

based on the traveling lane being the left-turn lane and the upcoming signal being a left-turn signal, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the left-turn lane at the intersection; and

based on the traveling lane being the right-turn lane and the upcoming signal being a right-turn signal, changing, by the at least one processor, the traveling route to the right-turn lane at the intersection.

7. A system comprising:

a server configured to provide high definition (HD) map data; and

at least one vehicle comprising an electronic device configured to receive the HD map data,

wherein the electronic device comprises:

a power supply configured to supply power;

an interface configured to receive, from the server through a communication devices HD map data on a specific area and data on a location of the vehicle; and

at least one processor configured to continuously generate electronic horizon data regarding the specific area based on the HD map data in a state of receiving the power from the power supply, and

wherein the at least one processor is configured to, based on a determination according to the data on the location of the vehicle that the vehicle is in a state before entering an intersection and a traveling lane of the vehicle located at the intersection is different from a lane corresponding to a traveling route included in the electronic horizon data, change the electronic horizon data based on the traveling lane,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to change, based on the traveling lane, the traveling route included in the electronic horizon data before the vehicle enters the intersection,
