Abstract

Methods and apparatuses for determining whether to perform transmissions or receptions. A method for a user equipment (UE) to determine whether to perform the transmissions includes receiving a n for a search space set for receptions of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) according to a common search space (CSS) and receiving a PDCCH that includes a downlink control information (DCI) format. The method includes determining a set of time resources and a set of frequency resources based on an indication in the DCI format and canceling a transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) in time resources from the set of time resources based on determining that the SRS transmission would include frequency resources from the set of frequency resources. The method includes transmitting a physical uplink control channel in time resources from the set of time resources and in frequency resources from the set of frequency resources.

Claims (59)

1. A method for transmitting physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) on a set of cells, the method comprising:

receiving:

information for a number of sets of cells, and

a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) providing a first DCI format, wherein the first DCI format includes:

a first field indicating a set of cells from the number of sets of cells, and

second fields indicating values of parameters for PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells;

identifying:

a value for a first parameter based on a third field from the second fields, wherein the value is common for the PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells, and

values for a second parameter based on a fourth field from the second fields, wherein the values have a one-to-one mapping with the PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells; and

transmitting the PUSCHs on the set of cells according to the corresponding values of the first and second parameters.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the third field is a frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) field.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the third field is a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) field.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a second PDCCH providing a second DCI format, wherein:

the second DCI format schedules a PUSCH transmission on a single cell,

the second DCI format includes a bandwidth part (BWP) indicator field that indicates a BWP for the PUSCH transmission, and

the first DCI format does not include the BWP indicator field.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fourth field is a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fourth field is a transmit power control (TPC) command field.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the fourth field is a precoding information field.

8. A user equipment (UE) comprising:

a transceiver configured to receive:

information for a number of sets of cells, and

a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) providing a first DCI format, wherein the first DCI format includes:

a first field indicating a set of cells from the number of sets of cells, and

second fields indicating values of parameters for PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells; and

a processor operably coupled to the transceiver, the processor configured to identify:

a value for a first parameter based on a third field from the second fields, wherein the value is common for the PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells, and

values for a second parameter based on a fourth field from the second fields, wherein the values have a one-to-one mapping with the PUSCH transmissions on the set of cells,

wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit PUSCHs on the set of cells according to the corresponding values of the first and second parameters.

9. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the third field is a frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) field.

10. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the third field is a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) field.

11. The UE of claim 8 , wherein:

the transceiver is further configured to receive a second PDCCH providing a second DCI format,

the second DCI format schedules a PUSCH transmission on a single cell,

the second DCI format includes a bandwidth part (BWP) indicator field that indicates a BWP for the PUSCH transmission, and

the first DCI format does not include the BWP indicator field.

12. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the fourth field is a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field.

13. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the fourth field is a transmit power control (TPC) command field.

14. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the fourth field is a precoding information field.

15. A base station comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit:

information for a number of sets of cells, and

a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) providing a first DCI format, wherein the first DCI format includes:

a first field indicating a set of cells from the number of sets of cells, and

second fields indicating values of parameters for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) receptions on the set of cells; and

a processor operably coupled to the transceiver, the processor configured to identify:

a value for a first parameter based on a third field from the second fields, wherein the value is common for the PUSCH receptions on the set of cells, and

values for a second parameter based on a fourth field from the second fields, wherein the values have a one-to-one mapping with the PUSCH receptions on the set of cells,

wherein the transceiver is further configured to receive PUSCHs on the set of cells according to the corresponding values of the first and second parameters.
