Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system or networks beyond 5G communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A method of a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, configuration information on reporting assistance information associated with an overheating; detecting the overheating; and transmitting, to the base station, the assistance information including first information for controlling a bandwidth associated with at least one of a first frequency range or a second frequency range based on UE's preference, wherein a first frequency corresponding to the first frequency range is smaller than a second frequency corresponding to the second frequency range.

Claims (62)

1. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, configuration information for inter device coexistence (IDC) including information on a list of candidate serving cells for which the terminal is requested to report IDC problems;

detecting the IDC problems for at least one serving cell, the at least serving cell being identified from the list of the candidate serving cells; and

transmitting, to the base station, IDC assistance information for the IDC problems including information on the at least one serving cell based on the configuration information,

wherein the information on the list of the candidate serving cells includes information on an absolute radio frequency channel number (ARFCN) for a corresponding candidate serving cell among the candidate serving cells, the ARFCN being identified among a plurality of ARFCNs for a frequency band of the corresponding candidate serving cell, and

wherein the ARFCN has a value indicating a center frequency for the frequency band of the corresponding candidate serving cell.

2. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein a frequency band for each candidate serving cell is provided for one ARFCN.

3. The method of claim 1 ,

4. The method of claim 3 ,

wherein the victim system type includes wireless local access network (WLAN) or Bluetooth.

5. The method of claim 3 ,

wherein the at least one of the first information and the second information is included in the IDC assistance information, in case that multi-radio access technology (RAT) (MR)—dual connectivity (DC) (MR-DC) is configured, and

wherein the MR-DC includes evolved universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA)—new radio (NR) (EN)—DC.

6. A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a terminal, configuration information for inter device coexistence (IDC) including information on a list of candidate serving cells for which the terminal is requested to report IDC problems; and

receiving, from the terminal, IDC assistance information for the IDC problems including information on at least one serving cell based on the configuration information, the at least serving cell for which the IDC problems are detected being identified from the list of the candidate serving cells,

wherein the information on the list of the candidate serving cells includes information on an absolute radio frequency channel number (ARFCN) for a corresponding candidate serving cell among the candidate serving cells, the ARFCN being identified among a plurality of ARFCNs for a frequency band of the corresponding candidate serving cell, and

wherein the ARFCN has a value indicating a center frequency for the frequency band of the corresponding candidate serving cell.

7. The method of claim 6 ,

wherein a frequency band for each candidate serving cell is provided for one ARFCN.

8. The method of claim 6 ,

wherein the IDC assistance information further includes at least one of first information on a victim system type or second information on interference direction.

9. The method of claim 8 ,
