Abstract

A method for measuring and reporting channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system and a device therefor. Specifically, a method for reporting, by a user equipment, channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system includes: receiving CSI reporting setting information related with CSI reporting; receiving one or more channel state information (CSI)-reference signals (CSI-RSs); performing the CSI reporting by using a measurement value estimated by at least one specific CSI-RS among the one or more CSI-RSs, in which the at least one specific CSI-RS may be determined based on gap information for configuring a measurement interval for estimating the measurement value and a performing timing of the CSI reporting.

Claims (41)

1. A user equipment (UE) configured to perform channel state information (CSI) reporting in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

at least one transceiver;

at least one processor; and

at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:

reporting, to a base station, UE capability for information related to CSI computation time;

receiving, from the base station, at least one CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS);

deriving channel measurements based on the at least one CSI-RS; and

performing the CSI reporting based on the channel measurements,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS is determined based on the information related to CSI computation time,

wherein the information related to CSI computation time represents a plurality of symbols before transmission time of a first symbol of the CSI reporting,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS being received before the plurality of symbols is used for the channel measurements, and

wherein the information related to CSI computation time is determined based on i) a frequency granularity for a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI), ii) a codebook type, iii) a report quantity related to a CSI-RS Resource Indicator (CRI) and a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), and iv) the UE capability.

2. The UE of claim 1 , wherein the at least one CSI-RS is a most recent CSI-RS that was received before the plurality of symbols.

3. The UE of claim 1 , wherein, based on the at least one CSI-RS being aperiodically configured, the at least one CSI-RS is an aperiodic CSI-RS that is received before the plurality of symbols.

4. The UE of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, CSI reporting setting information related to the CSI reporting; and

receiving resource setting information related to transmission of the at least one CSI-RS,

wherein the resource setting information comprises first offset information for a first time interval between (i) a triggering timing for triggering the transmission of the at least one CSI-RS and (ii) a transmission timing of the at least one CSI-RS, and

wherein the CSI reporting setting information further comprises second offset information for a second time interval between (i) a triggering timing for triggering the CSI reporting and (ii) a timing of the CSI reporting.

5. A processing apparatus configured to control a user equipment (UE) to perform channel state information (CSI) reporting in a wireless communication system, the processing apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:

reporting, to a base station, UE capability for information related to CSI computation time;

receiving, from the base station, at least one CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS);

deriving channel measurements based on the at least one CSI-RS; and

performing the CSI reporting based on the channel measurements,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS is determined based on the information related to CSI computation time,

wherein the information related to CSI computation time represents a plurality of symbols before transmission time of a first symbol of the CSI reporting,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS being received before the plurality of symbols is used for the channel measurements, and

wherein the information related to CSI computation time is determined based on i) a frequency granularity for a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI), ii) a codebook type, iii) a report quantity related to a CSI-RS Resource Indicator (CRI) and a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), and iv) the UE capability.

6. A base station configured to receive channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

at least one transceiver;

at least one processor; and

at least one computer memory operably connectable to the at least one processor and storing instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, perform operations comprising:

receiving, from a user equipment (UE), UE capability for information related to CSI computation time;

transmitting, to the UE, at least one channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS); and

receiving, from the UE, the CSI which is reported by the UE based on channel measurements,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS is determined based on the information related to CSI computation time,

wherein the information related to CSI computation time represents a plurality of symbols before transmission time of a first symbol of the reporting of the CSI,

wherein the at least one CSI-RS being transmitted before the plurality of symbols is used for the channel measurements, and

wherein the information related to CSI computation time is determined based on i) a frequency granularity for a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI), ii) a codebook type, iii) a report quantity related to a CSI-RS Resource Indicator (CRI) and a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), and iv) the UE capability.
