Abstract

A user device may capture an image including an object, and may identify the object, including determining an outline of the object. The user device may determine a first center point of the object and an angle of orientation of the object in relation to the image. The user device may rotate the image based on the angle of orientation, including changing one or more dimensions of the image. The user device may, after rotating the image, determine the one or more dimensions of the rotated image, calculate one or more offset values associated with changing the one or more dimensions of the rotated image, and determine a second center point of the object based on the first center point and the one or more offset values. The user device may perform an action related to the rotated image based on determining the second center point of the object.

Claims (105)

1. A method, comprising:

identifying, by a user device, a document inside an image,

the document associated with a height and a width;

determining, by the user device, a first center point of the document;

changing, by the user device, an orientation of the document and the image relative to one or more reference axes;

determining, by the user device, a dimension of the image based on the changed orientation of the document and the image,

the dimension of the image including one or more of:

a height of the image,

a width of the image, or

a center point of the image;

determining, by the user device, a second center point of the document based on the first center point of the document and based on the dimension of the image from the changed orientation of the document and the image; and

performing, by the user device, an action related to the image based on determining the second center point of the document.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein performing the action comprises:

sending the image to a server.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein performing the action comprises:

performing an action related to changes of a file size of the image.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

processing the image by determining one or more elements concerning the document,

the one or more elements concerning the document including one or more of:

an outline of the document,

a boundary outline of the document,

a bounding box of the document,

a bounding rectangle of the document,

a bounding polygon of the document, or

a shape around the document.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the document includes:

a document that indicates identification information,

a government-issued identification (ID) card, or

an employee ID card.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a message regarding the image from a remote device; and

causing the message to display on the user device.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein performing the action comprises:

creating an outline of the document based on the second center point of the document.

8. A user device, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors configured to:

identify an object inside an image,

the object associated with a height and a width;

determine a first center point of the object;

change an orientation of the object and the image;

determine a dimension of the image based on the changed orientation of the object and the image related to one or more reference axes,

the dimension of the image including one or more of:

a height of the image,

a width of the image, or

a center point of the image;

determine a second center point of the object based on the first center point of the object and based on the dimension of the image from the changed orientation of the object and the image; and

perform an action related to the image based on determining the first center point of the object.

9. The device of claim 8 , wherein the object has an angle of orientation relative to the image.

10. The device of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further to:

receive a message regarding the image from a remote device; and

cause the message to display on the user device.

11. The device of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors are further to:

process the image by determining one or more elements concerning the object, the one or more elements concerning the object including one or more of:

an outline of the object,

a boundary outline of the object,

a bounding box of the object,

a bounding rectangle of the object,

a bounding polygon of the object, or

a shape around the object.

12. The device of claim 8 , wherein the object includes:

a credit card,

a debit card,

an automated teller machine (ATM) card,

a check, or

a money order.

13. The device of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors, to perform the action, are to:

create an outline of the object based on the second center point of the object.

14. The device of claim 8 , wherein the image may include image pixels, and

wherein the one or more processors, to change the orientation of the object, are to:

change the dimension of the image based on the changed orientation of the object,

wherein the image includes the image pixels and padding pixels.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:

one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors of a device to:

identify a document inside an image,

the document associated with a height and a width;

determine a first center point of the document;

change an orientation of the document and the image;

determine a dimension of the image based on the changed orientation of the document and the image related to one or more reference axes,

the dimension of the image including one or more of:

a height of the image,

a width of the image, or

a center point of the image;

determine a second center point of the document based on the first center point of the document and a based on the dimension of the image from the changed orientation of the document and the image; and

perform an action related to the image based on determining the second center point of the document.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

receive a message regarding the image from a remote device; and

cause the message to display on the device.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the document has an angle of orientation relative to the image.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

process the image by determining one or more elements concerning the document, the one or more elements concerning the document including one or more of:

an outline of the document,

a boundary outline of the document,

a bounding box of the document,

a bounding rectangle of the document,

a bounding polygon of the document, or

a shape around the document.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the one or more processors to:

process the image using one or more computer vision techniques; and

wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to identify the document, cause the one or more processors to:

identify the document based on processing the image using the one or more computer vision techniques.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the image may include image pixels, and

wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors to change the orientation of the document, cause the one or more processors to:
