Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for providing multiple networks from a gateway. A multiple network gateway system can include a gateway (e.g., a router) with the ability to support multiple, configurable, and customizable networks. The gateway can connect to a source (e.g., internet service provider (ISP), cable networks, OTA networks, satellite networks, etc.) and determine the bandwidth. Using the determined bandwidth, the gateway can allocate the bandwidth among the multiple networks according to a priority order of the networks. In some implementations, the gateway can receive customizable features from the user. Examples of the customizable features can include security options, parental controls, operational hours, MAC address specific operations, number of user limits, and internet usage tracking. The gateway can determine the priority of each network based on the customizable features.

configuring at least two networks provided by a gateway, wherein the at least two networks include a first network and a second network;

determining a priority order of allocating a bandwidth for the at least two networks based on the first network having more customizable settings than the second network, wherein the priority order prioritizes the first network;

generating the priority order of allocating the bandwidth for the at least two networks based on at least one first customizable setting associated with the first network and at least one second customizable setting associated with the second network;

allocating the bandwidth to the at least two networks according to the priority order; and

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first network and the second network have different service set identifiers.

8. A computing system comprising:

one or more hardware processors; and

one or more hardware memories storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the computing system to perform the steps of:

configuring at least two networks provided by a gateway, wherein the at least two networks include a first network and a second network;

determining a priority order of allocating a bandwidth for the at least two networks based on the first network having more customizable settings than the second network,

wherein the priority order prioritizes the first network;

generating the priority order of allocating the bandwidth for the at least two networks based on at least one first customizable setting associated with the first network and at least one second customizable setting associated with the second network;

allocating the bandwidth to the at least two networks according to the priority order; and

connecting the at least two networks to at least two user devices, wherein a first user device connects to the first network and a second user device connects to the second network.

9. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the steps further comprise:

detecting a change in the bandwidth provided from the gateway; and

re-allocating, based on the change, the bandwidth among the at least two networks.

10. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the steps further comprise:

receiving the at least one first customizable setting or the at least one second customizable setting for the at least two networks.

11. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the priority order is a first priority order, the steps further comprise:

detecting a third device connect to a third network provided by the gateway;

generating a second priority order of allocating the bandwidth among the first network, the second network, and the third network based on the at least one first customizable setting or the at least one second customizable setting; and

allocating the bandwidth to the first network, the second network, and the third network based on the second priority order.

12. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one first customizable setting or the at least one second customizable setting includes a security setting, a content control setting, an operational time setting, a media access control address, a user limit setting, or a network usage tracking setting.

13. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the priority order of allocating the bandwidth is determined by at least one machine-learning algorithm, wherein the at least one machine-learning algorithm is trained based on at least one dataset associated with a past priority order of allocating bandwidth.

14. The computing system of claim 8 , wherein the first network and the second network have different service set identifiers.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium having machine executable instructions stored thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, direct the one or more processors to perform a method comprising:

configuring at least two networks provided by a gateway, wherein the at least two networks include a first network and a second network;
