Abstract

A method of a UE in a wireless communication system supporting a shared spectrum channel access is provided. The UE comprises: receiving, from a BS over a first downlink channel, a SS/PBCH block; determining a transmission window in which the received SS/PBCH block is located; determining whether a CORESET for Type0-PDCCH CSS is present based on the received SS/PBCH block; determining a parameter for a QCL assumption of candidate SS/PBCH blocks within the transmission window; determining a group of QCLed candidate SS/PBCH blocks within the transmission window based on the determined parameter for the QCL assumption; determining a group of slots including the Type0-PDCCH CSS, wherein each slot of the group of slots corresponds to a candidate SS/PBCH block within the group of QCLed candidate SS/PBCH blocks; and receiving, over a second downlink channel, at least one Type0-PDCCH based on the determined groups of slots including the Type0-PDCCH CSS.

Claims (38)

1. A method performed by a terminal supporting a shared spectrum in a communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, a synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block; and

receiving, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) by monitoring a common search space (CSS) set over slots including a monitoring occasion associated with candidate SS/PBCH blocks that are quasi co-located (QCLed) with the received SS/PBCH block based on a QCL parameter,

wherein the monitoring occasion associated with each of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks is included in two consecutive slots that are determined based on (i) a candidate SS/PBCH block index and (ii) a parameter determined based on the received SS/PBCH block, and

wherein the parameter determined based on the received SS/PBCH block is not determined as 2, in response to the QCL parameter being 1.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the received SS/PBCH block includes information on a control resource set (CORESET) for a Type0-PDCCH CSS set.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 9} based on a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 15 KHz, and

wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 19} based on the SCS of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 30 KHz.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the candidate SS/PBCH blocks that are QCLed with the received SS/PBCH block correspond to same modulo value based on the QCL parameter.

5. A method performed by a base station supporting a shared spectrum in a communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a terminal, a synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block; and

transmitting, to the terminal, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in at least one common search space (CSS) set included in slots including a monitoring occasion associated with candidate SS/PBCH blocks that are quasi co-located (QCLed) with the transmitted SS/PBCH block based on a QCL parameter,

wherein the monitoring occasion associated with each of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks is included in two consecutive slots determined that are based on (i) a candidate SS/PBCH block index and (ii) a parameter determined based on the transmitted SS/PBCH block, and

wherein the parameter determined based on the transmitted SS/PBCH block is not determined as 2, in response to the QCL parameter being 1.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the transmitted SS/PBCH block includes information on a control resource set (CORESET) for a Type0-PDCCH CSS set.

7. The method of claim 5 , wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 9} based on a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 15 KHz, and

wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 19} based on the SCS of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 30 KHz.

8. The method of claim 5 , wherein the candidate SS/PBCH blocks that are QCLed with the transmitted SS/PBCH block correspond to same modulo value based on the QCL parameter.

9. A terminal supporting a shared spectrum in a communication system, the terminal comprising:

a transceiver configured to:

receive, from a base station, a synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block; and

receive, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) by monitoring a common search space (CSS) set over slots including a monitoring occasion associated with candidate SS/PBCH blocks that are quasi co-located (QCLed) with the received SS/PBCH block based on a QCL parameter,

wherein the monitoring occasion associated with each of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks is included in two consecutive slots that are determined based on (i) a candidate SS/PBCH block index and (ii) a parameter determined based on the received SS/PBCH block, and

wherein the parameter determined based on the received SS/PBCH block is not determined as 2, in response to the QCL parameter being 1.

10. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the received SS/PBCH block includes information on a control resource set (CORESET) for a Type0-PDCCH CSS set.

11. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 9} based on a subcarrier spacing (SCS) of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 15 KHz, and

wherein the candidate SS/PBCH block index is one of {0, 1, . . . , 19} based on the SCS of the candidate SS/PBCH blocks being 30 KHz.
