Abstract

A method for decoding/encoding an image signal with the decoding/encoding apparatus according to the present invention may comprise the steps of: generating a first prediction sample of a current block, determining a weight prediction parameter set of the current block by using a predetermined reference region, the reference region being a region reconstructed before the current block and including a neighboring region spatially adjacent to the current block, and generating a second prediction sample of the current block by applying the weight prediction parameter set to the first prediction sample. Herein, the neighboring region is determined based on information signaled from a bitstream, and the information specifies a position of the neighboring region and is used to determine the weight prediction parameter set.

Claims (29)

1. A method for decoding a video signal with a decoding apparatus, comprising:

generating, with the decoding apparatus, a first prediction sample of a current block;

determining, with the decoding apparatus, a weight prediction parameter set of the current block by using a predetermined reference region, the reference region being a region reconstructed before the current block and including a neighboring region spatially adjacent to the current block; and

generating, with the decoding apparatus, a second prediction sample of the current block by applying the weight prediction parameter set to the first prediction sample,

wherein the neighboring region is determined based on information signaled from a bitstream,

wherein the information specifies a position of the neighboring region and is used to determine the weight prediction parameter set, and

wherein the neighboring region includes a bottom-left neighboring region or a right-top neighboring region.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set includes a plurality of weight prediction parameters, and

wherein the plurality of the weight prediction parameters include at least one of a multiplication parameter multiplied by the first prediction sample and an addition parameter added to the first prediction sample.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set is determined based on at least one of a size and a shape of the current block.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set further includes a weight prediction parameter generated by using two weight prediction parameters among the plurality of the weight prediction parameters.

5. A method for encoding a video signal with an encoding apparatus, comprising:

generating, with the encoding apparatus, a first prediction sample of a current block;

determining, with the encoding apparatus, a weight prediction parameter set of a current block by using a predetermined reference region, the reference region being a region encoded before the current block and including a neighboring region spatially adjacent to the current block; and

generating, with the encoding apparatus, a second prediction sample of the current block by applying the weight prediction parameter set to the first prediction sample,

wherein information used to determine the neighboring region is encoded into a bitstream,

wherein the information specifies a position of the neighboring region and is used to determine the weight prediction parameter set, and

wherein the neighboring region includes a bottom-left neighboring region or a right-top neighboring region.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set includes a plurality of weight prediction parameters, and

wherein the plurality of the weight prediction parameters include at least one of a multiplication parameter multiplied by the first prediction sample and an addition parameter added to the first prediction sample.

7. The method of claim 5 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set is determined based on at least one of a size and a shape of the current block.

8. The method of claim 6 , wherein the weight prediction parameter set further includes a weight prediction parameter generated by using two weight prediction parameters among the plurality of the weight prediction parameters.

9. A non-transitory computer-readable medium for storing a bitstream generated by an encoding method, the method comprising:

generating a first prediction sample of a current block;

determining a weight prediction parameter set of a current block by using a predetermined reference region, the reference region being a region encoded before the current block and including a neighboring region spatially adjacent to the current block; and
