Abstract

A heat-exchange device ( 2 ) for a laundry treatment machine includes a first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and a second heat exchanger ( 6 ) that are disposed successively along a flow path ( 10 ) of process air in an operating state of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ), and are connected to each other by a connecting plate ( 8 ). The first heat exchanger ( 4 ) includes a first side plate ( 12 ), and the second heat exchanger ( 6 ) includes a second side plate ( 14 ), wherein the first and the second side plates ( 12, 14 ) are each disposed on a side of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) opposite the connecting plate ( 8 ) and are disconnected at least in a pre-installation state of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ). A base module is configured to fix the relative position of the first and second heat exchangers ( 4, 6 ) with respect to each other.

Claims (24)

1. A heat-exchange device ( 2 ) for a laundry treatment machine, comprising:

a first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and

a second heat exchanger ( 6 ),

wherein the first heat exchanger ( 4 ) includes a first side plate ( 12 ) and the second heat exchanger ( 6 ) includes a second side plate ( 14 ),

the heat-exchange device having an operating state wherein the first and second heat exchangers ( 4 , 6 ) are disposed successively along a flow path ( 10 ) of process air of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) and are connected to each other by a connecting plate ( 8 ), and wherein the first and the second side plates ( 12 , 14 ) are connected together and each disposed on a side of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) opposite the connecting plate ( 8 ), and

the heat-exchange device having a pre-installation state wherein the first and the second side plates ( 12 , 14 ) are disconnected.

2. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the connecting plate ( 8 ) is configured such that the connecting plate ( 8 ) stabilizes the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) at least in the pre-installation state such that the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) is configured to be handled as a pre-assembled construction unit.

3. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein in the pre-installation state of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ), the two heat exchangers ( 4 , 6 ) are disposed with respect to each other such that a first section of the flow path ( 10 ) through the first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and a second section of the flow path ( 10 ) through the second heat exchanger ( 6 ) are arranged as straight extensions of each other.

4. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 3 , wherein in the operating state of the heat exchange device ( 2 ), the first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and the second heat exchanger ( 6 ) are disposed with respect to each other such that the first section of the flow path ( 10 ) and the second section of the flow path ( 10 ) enclose an angle greater than 0° and smaller than 180°.

5. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 4 , wherein the angle enclosed by the first and second sections of the flow path ( 10 ) is an acute angle in the operating state.

6. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein in the operating state of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ), the first side plate ( 12 ) and the second side plate ( 14 ) are configured to be connected to each other in a friction-fit manner using a side-plate connector ( 18 ), wherein the first and second side plates ( 12 , 14 ) and the side-plate connector ( 18 ) include mutually corresponding connectors ( 20 , 22 ).

7. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein the connecting plate ( 8 ) includes at least one material weakening ( 24 ), wherein the material weakening ( 24 ) in the connecting plate ( 8 ) extends transverse to the flow path ( 10 ).

8. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 7 , wherein the material weakening ( 24 ) extends from one free end to an opposite free end of the connecting plate ( 8 ).

9. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and the second heat exchangers ( 4 , 6 ) is configured as a fin heat exchanger, comprising:

a plurality of fins disposed in parallel and spaced with respect to each other, for heat transmission between the heat exchanger ( 4 , 6 ) and the process air, and

at least one heat-exchange tube connected to the fins in a heat-conducting manner for guiding a heat-transmission.

10. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 9 , wherein the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) includes a soldering side ( 16 ) for automatic soldering of the at least one heat-exchange tube.

11. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 10 , wherein the soldering side ( 16 ) is disposed on a side of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) facing the connecting plate.

12. A base module for a laundry treatment machine, comprising:

the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , and

at least one housing part,

wherein the heat-exchange device ( 2 ) is accommodated in the housing part in the operating state, the first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and the second heat exchanger ( 6 ) being disposed successively in the at least one housing part, wherein the at least one housing part is configured as a base part, a cover part, or an insert part of the base module.

13. The base module according to claim 12 , wherein in the operating state of the heat-exchange device ( 2 ), the at least one housing part is configured to fix a relative position between the first heat exchanger ( 4 ) and the second heat exchanger ( 6 ).

14. The heat-exchange device ( 2 ) according to claim 1 , wherein, in the pre-installation state, the first and the second heat exchangers ( 4 , 6 ) are connected to each other by the connecting plate ( 8 ).
