Abstract

The present specification, relates to a method for switching Internet of Things (IoT) modes in a wireless communication system and a device therefor. According to the present specification, the method whereby a terminal switches IoT modes in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: transmitting, in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, an operation mode switching request for requesting switching from a source IoT mode, which is the current operation mode of the terminal, to a base station via a predetermined physical channel; receiving, from the base station, an operation mode switching response to the operation mode switching request; and switching from the source IoT mode to a predetermined target IoT mode on the basis of the operation mode switching response.

receiving, from the base station, an operation mode switch response to the operation mode switch request; and

switching from the source IoT mode to a specific target IoT mode based on the operation mode switch response.

2. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the source IoT mode is one of non-BL (bandwidth reduced low complexity) mode, non-BL CE (coverage enhancement) mode, eMTC (enhanced machine type communication) mode, and NB (narrowband)-IoT mode, and

wherein the target IoT mode is one of IoT modes different from the source IoT mode.

3. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the specific physical channel is one of a physical uplink physical shared channel (PUSCH), a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and a physical random access channel (PRACH).

4. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein the operation mode switch request includes indication information for instructing a switch from the source IoT mode to a first target IoT mode.

5. The method of claim 4 ,

wherein based on the operation mode switch response including acceptance information instructing acceptance of the indication information, the specific target IoT mode is the first target IoT mode.

6. The method of claim 4 ,

Wherein based on the operation mode switch response includes indication information for instructing a switch from the source IoT mode to a second target IoT mode, the second target IoT mode is determined based on a received signal strength of the operation mode switch request.

7. The method of claim 6 ,

wherein based on that the first target IoT mode and the second target IoT mode are different from each other, the specific target mode is the second target mode.

8. The method of claim 3 ,

wherein the specific physical channel is a channel to which a parameter for data transmission/reception in the source IoT mode is applied.

9. The method of claim 8 ,

wherein based on the specific physical channel being one of the PUCCH and the PRACH, the specific physical channel is scheduled on a specific resource which is separately configured for transmission of the operation mode switch request.

10. The method of claim 4 ,

wherein the specific physical channel is a channel to which a parameter for data transmission/reception in the first target IoT mode is applied.

11. The method of claim 10 ,

wherein the specific physical channel is scheduled on a specific resource of the first target IoT mode which is configured separately for transmission of the operation mode switch request, and

wherein transmission through an uplink physical channel of the source IoT mode which is scheduled on a resource that is temporally overlapping with the specific resource or adjacent to the specific resource is dropped.

12. The method of claim 10 ,

wherein based on the specific physical channel being PRACH, a timing advance (TA) value applied to transmission of the operation mode switch request is the same as a TA value applied to an uplink physical channel of the source IoT mode.

13. The method of claim 12 ,

wherein the TA value applied to the uplink physical channel of the source IoT mode is a value greater than or less than 0.

14. The method of claim 10 ,

wherein the operation mode switch response is received through a downlink physical channel scheduled on a resource of the first target IoT mode.

15. The method of claim 13 ,

wherein the operation mode switch response includes indication information instructing for instructing a switch from the operation mode to a target IoT mode different from the first target IoT mode.

16. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, a reference signal; and

determining whether to transmit the operation mode switch request based on the reference signal.

17. A method, by a base station, for switching an Internet of things (IoT) mode in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a terminal, an operation mode switch request requesting a switch of a source IoT mode which is a current operation mode of the terminal through a specific physical channel, in a radio resource control (RRC) connection state; and

transmitting, to the terminal, an operation mode switch response to the operation mode switch request,

wherein the source IoT mode is switched to a specific target IoT mode based on the operation mode switch response.

18. A terminal for switching an Internet of things (IoT) mode in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:

a transmitter for transmitting a radio signal;

a receiver for receiving the radio signal; and

a processor operatively connected to the transmitter and the receiver,

wherein the processor is configured to control:

the transmitter to transmit, to a base station, an operation mode switch request requesting a switch of a source IoT mode which is a current operation mode of the terminal through a specific physical channel, in a radio resource control (RRC) connection state;

the receiver to receive, from the base station, an operation mode switch response to the operation mode switch request; and

to switch from the source IoT mode to a specific target IoT mode based on the operation mode switch response.

19. A base station for switching an Internet of things (IoT) mode in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

a transmitter for transmitting a radio signal;

a receiver for receiving the radio signal; and

a processor operatively connected to the transmitter and the receiver,

wherein the processor is configured to control:

the receiver to receive, from a terminal, an operation mode switch request requesting a switch of a source IoT mode which is a current operation mode of the terminal through a specific physical channel, in a radio resource control (RRC) connection state; and

the transmitter to transmit, to the terminal, an operation mode switch response to the operation mode switch request,
