Abstract

Disclosed in the present invention are a method for operating a terminal and a base station in a wireless communication system supporting a narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), and an apparatus supporting same. According to one embodiment applicable to the present invention, a terminal determines a time interval for receiving an NRS in a non-anchor carrier that is used for paging purposes, and receives the NRS in the time interval. The time interval may be determined on the basis of a specific PO among a plurality of POs related to the terminal.

Claims (30)

1. A method of receiving a signal by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), the method comprising:

determining a paging occasion (PO) for receiving a narrowband reference signal (NRS) on a non-anchor paging carrier, from among a plurality of POs; and

receiving the NRS based on the PO,

wherein the PO is determined based on a remainder of dividing (Q+α) by 2, where Q is a PO index related to a subframe number of the PO, and α is 0 or 1.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PO has an odd subframe number.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PO has an odd subframe number and an even system frame number (SFN).

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PO has an even subframe number and an odd system frame number (SFN).

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein, for the PO, a remainder of dividing S by R is equal to the remainder of dividing Q+α by 2,

wherein S is a system frame number (SFN) of the PO, and

wherein R is a value preconfigured by a higher layer signal.

6. The method of claim 5 ,

wherein in a case where a number of POs in one frame is smaller than 1, α is determined as 1, and

wherein in a case where the number of POs in one frame is greater than 1, α is determined as 0 or 1 based on the SFN of the specific PO.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PO has a subframe number of 9.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the reception of the NRS is performed independently from a paging transmission.

9. A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system supporting Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), the UE comprising:

at least one radio frequency (RF) module;

at least one processor; and

at least one memory operably connected to the at least one processor and configured to store instructions executable by the at least one processor to perform specific operations, the specific operations comprising:

determining a paging occasion (PO) for receiving a narrowband reference signal (NRS) on a non-anchor paging carrier, from among a plurality of POs; and

receiving the NRS based on the PO,

wherein the PO is determined based on a remainder of dividing (Q+α) by 2, where Q is a PO index related to a subframe number of the PO, and α is 0 or 1.

10. The UE of claim 9 , wherein the UE communicates with at least one of a mobile terminal, a network, or an autonomous driving vehicle other than a vehicle including the UE.

11. A base station for transmitting a downlink signal in a wireless communication system supporting Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), the base station comprising:

at least one radio frequency (RF) module;

at least one processor; and

at least one memory operably connected to the at least one processor and configured to store instructions executable by the at least one processor to perform a specific operation, the specific operation comprising:

transmitting a paging occasion (PO) for transmitting a narrowband reference signal (NRS) on a non-anchor paging carrier, from among a plurality of POs; and

transmitting the NRS based on the PO,

wherein the PO is determined based on a remainder of dividing (Q+α) by 2, where Q is a PO index related to a subframe number of the PO, and α is 0 or 1.
