Abstract

Methods, systems, and storage media are described for monitoring downlink control information (DCI). In particular, some embodiments may be directed to monitoring DCI for an indication of channel occupancy time (COT) information. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Claims (22)

1. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, are to cause a user equipment (UE) to:

receive a message comprising downlink control information format 2_0 (DCI 2_0) that indicates channel occupancy time (COT) information, wherein the COT information includes a field to indicate a monitoring period of a search space; and

determine a monitoring periodicity based on the DCI 2_0.

2. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes slot format information.

3. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes an indication of a time duration of a COT initiated by a next-generation NodeB (gNB).

4. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 3 , wherein the media further stores instructions to cause the UE to configure an uplink (UL) transmission based on the indication of the time duration of the COT initiated by the gNB.

5. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 1 , wherein the message is received via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a group common physical downlink control channel (GC-PDCCH).

6. An apparatus of a next-generation NodeB (gNB) comprising:

memory to store channel occupancy time (COT) information; and

processing circuitry, coupled with the memory, to:

retrieve the COT information from the memory;

generate a message that includes downlink control information format 2_0 (DCI 2_0), wherein the DCI 2_0 is to indicate the COT information, and wherein the DCI 2_0 includes a field to indicate a monitoring period of a search space; and

encode the message for transmission to a user equipment (UE).

7. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes slot format information.

8. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes an indication of a time duration of a COT initiated by the gNB.

9. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the message is encoded for transmission via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a group common physical downlink control channel (GC-PDCCH).

10. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a next-generation NodeB (gNB) to:

generate a downlink control information format 2_0 (DCI 2_0) message, wherein the DCI 2_0 message comprises channel occupancy time (COT) information that includes a field to indicate a monitoring period of a search space; and

encode the message for transmission to a user equipment (UE).

11. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 10 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes slot format information.

12. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 10 , wherein the COT information in the DCI 2_0 includes an indication of a time duration of a COT initiated by the gNB.

13. The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 10 , wherein the message is encoded for transmission via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or a group common physical downlink control channel (GC-PDCCH).
