Abstract

A display device includes: a display unit including a first display area, and a second display area; a scan driver configured to provide a scan signal to each scan line connected to the plurality of first pixels and the plurality of second pixels; and an emission controller configured to provide an emission control signal to each emission control line connected to the plurality of first pixels and the plurality of second pixels, wherein the plurality of first pixels have a first density in the first display area, the plurality of second pixels have a second density less than the first density in the second display area, and the plurality of second pixels include at least one sub pixel including one boosting capacitor.

Claims (35)

1. A display device comprising:

a first display unit comprising a plurality of first pixels,

a light emitting element;

a first transistor configured to generate a driving current to flow from a first power line configured to provide a first power voltage to a second power line configured to provide a second power voltage through the light emitting element;

a second transistor connected between a data line and a first node connected to a gate electrode of the first transistor and configured to be turned on in response to a second scan signal;

a third transistor connected between a second electrode of the first transistor and the first node and configured to be turned on in response to a third scan signal;

a fourth transistor connected between the first node and an initialization power line configured to provide initialization power and configured to be turned on in response to a first scan signal;

a fifth transistor connected between the first power line and a first electrode of the first transistor and configured to be turned on in response to a light emission control signal;

a sixth transistor connected between the second electrode of the first transistor and the light emitting element and configured to be turned on in response to the light emission control signal;

a seventh transistor connected between the initialization power line and the first electrode of the light emitting element;

a storage capacitor connected between the first power line and the first node; and

a first boosting capacitor connected between the first node and a second scan line configured to provide the second scan signal.

2. The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a second display unit comprising a plurality of second pixels,

wherein a light transmittance of the second display unit is higher than a light transmittance of the first display unit.

3. The display device according to claim 2 ,

wherein the plurality of second pixels comprises the first to seventh transistors, the storage capacitor, and the first boosting capacitor, and

wherein the plurality of second pixels further comprises a second boosting capacitor connected between the first node and a third scan line configured to provide the third scan signal.

4. The display device according to claim 3 ,

wherein a capacitance of the first boosting capacitor of the plurality of second pixels is smaller than a capacitance of the second boosting capacitor of the plurality of second pixels.

5. The display device according to claim 3 ,

wherein the plurality of first pixels does not include the second boosting capacitor connected between the first node and the third scan line configured to provide the third scan signal.

6. The display device according to claim 3 ,

wherein the first transistor, the second transistor, the fifth transistor, the sixth transistor, and the seventh transistor in the plurality of second pixels are P-type transistors, and

wherein the third transistor and the fourth transistor in the plurality of second pixels are N-type transistors.

7. The display device according to claim 2 ,
