Abstract

A polylactic acid solid composition includes: a polylactic acid having a weight average molecular weight of not more than 40,000, which is measured in terms of polystyrene standard by GPC; and a basic compound of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal, which is a residue of a molecular weight reduction accelerator. The basic compound is contained in an amount in a range of 0.5 to 20 mass %.

Claims (4)

1. A polylactic acid solid composition comprising:

a polylactic acid having a weight average molecular weight in a range of 12,000 to 40,000, which is measured in terms of polystyrene standard by GPC; and sodium carbonate, as a molecular weight reduction accelerator, wherein the sodium carbonate is contained in an amount in a range of 7.4 to 20 mass %,

wherein the polylactic acid solid composition has a granular form with an average particle diameter (D 50 ) of not more than 6.492 μm, which is measured by a laser diffraction scattering method.

2. The polylactic acid solid composition according to claim 1 , wherein the polylactic acid is the only polymer component contained therein.
