Abstract

A wireless device receives a first configuration message comprising a cell specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL)-downlink (DL) pattern indicating a number of uplink slots. A size of a sidelink resource pool bitmap based on the number of the uplink slots is determined. The wireless device receives, based on the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap, a second configuration message comprising a sidelink resource pool bitmap. One or more sidelink slots are determined by applying the sidelink resource pool bitmap to the uplink slots. The wireless device transmits one or more transport blocks via the one or more sidelink slots.

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, a first configuration message comprising one or more cell specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL)-downlink (DL) patterns, each cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern indicating a number of uplink slots and a slot configuration period;

determining, by the wireless device, a size of a sidelink resource pool bitmap and a sidelink resource pool configuration period based on the one or more slot configuration periods associated with the one or more cell specific TDD UL-DL patterns, wherein the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is indicative of a number of sidelink slots;

receiving, from the base station and based on the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap, a second configuration message comprising the sidelink resource pool bitmap;

determining whether the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is larger than a first number of a first set of uplink slots associated with a first cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern;

in response to determining that the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is larger than the first number of the first set of uplink slots, applying a first portion of the sidelink resource pool bitmap to the first set of the uplink slots and applying the second portion of the sidelink resource pool bitmap to a second set of uplink slots associated with a second cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern sequentially;

determining, based on the applying, one or more sidelink slots within the sidelink resource pool configuration period; and

transmitting one or more transport blocks via the one or more sidelink slots.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the uplink slots comprise full uplink slots and non-full uplink slots.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the full uplink slots are determined based on the number of uplink slots.

4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the non-full uplink slots are determined based on a number of uplink symbols in a slot.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern further comprises the number of uplink symbols.

6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the determining the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is further based on the number of uplink symbols.

7. The method of claim 4 , wherein the determining the one or more sidelink slots of the sidelink resource pool bitmap further comprises applying the sidelink resource pool bitmap to the non-full uplink slots based on the number of uplink symbols.

8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the applying further comprises applying the sidelink resource pool bitmap to a first non-full uplink slot when a number of uplink symbols in the first non-full uplink slot is greater than a threshold.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the threshold is indicated by the base station.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the threshold is preconfigured.

11. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive, from a base station, a first configuration message comprising one or more cell specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL)-downlink (DL) patterns, each cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern indicating a number of uplink slots and a slot configuration period;

determine a size of a sidelink resource pool bitmap and a sidelink resource pool configuration period based on the one or more slot configuration periods associated with the one or more cell specific TDD UL-DL patterns, wherein the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is indicative of a number of sidelink slots;

receive, from the base station and based on the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap, a second configuration message comprising the sidelink resource pool bitmap;

determine whether the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is larger than a first number of a first set of uplink slots associated with a first cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern;

in response to determining that the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is larger than the first number of the first set of uplink slots, apply a first portion of the sidelink resource pool bitmap to the first set of the uplink slots and apply the second portion of the sidelink resource pool bitmap to a second set of uplink slots associated with a second cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern sequentially;

determine, based on the applying, one or more sidelink slots within the sidelink resource pool configuration period; and

transmit one or more transport blocks via the one or more sidelink slots.

12. The wireless device of claim 11 , wherein the uplink slots comprise full uplink slots and non-full uplink slots.

13. The wireless device of claim 12 , wherein the full uplink slots are determined based on the number of uplink slots.

14. The wireless device of claim 12 , wherein the non-full uplink slots are determined based on a number of uplink symbols in a slot.

15. The wireless device of claim 14 , wherein the cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern further comprises the number of uplink symbols.

16. The wireless device of claim 14 , wherein the determining the size of the sidelink resource pool bitmap is further based on the number of uplink symbols.

17. The wireless device of claim 14 , wherein the determining the one or more sidelink slots of the sidelink resource pool bitmap further comprises applying the sidelink resource pool bitmap to the non-full uplink slots based on the number of uplink symbols.

18. The wireless device of claim 17 , wherein the applying further comprises applying the sidelink resource pool bitmap to a first non-full uplink slot when a number of uplink symbols in the first non-full uplink slot is greater than a threshold.

19. The wireless device of claim 18 , wherein the threshold is indicated by the base station or the threshold is preconfigured.

20. A system comprising:

a base station comprising:

one or more first processors; and

first memory storing first instructions that, when executed by the one or more first processors, cause the base station to:

transmit a first configuration message comprising one or more cell specific time division duplex (TDD) uplink (UL)-downlink (DL) patterns, each cell specific TDD UL-DL pattern indicating a number of uplink slots and a slot configuration period; and

transmit a second configuration message comprising a sidelink resource pool bitmap; and

a wireless device comprising:

one or more second processors; and
