Abstract

A wireless communications system is provided that runs on a mobile device and includes a computer system run on at least one platform on which a plurality of different lottery transactions for different jurisdictions are supported and run from the at least one platform. A decentralized and distributed digital ledger is used to record transactions for the lottery transactions, where each of a lottery transaction can include a lottery element. At least one computer readable storage medium stores computer executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one network processor in the workflow server residing in the mobile communications network, implement components including: a workflow module comprising sets of workflow instructions for processing different types of lottery game packets from a plurality of different jurisdictions; and a deep packet inspection module for inspecting a received lottery game packet and providing information about the lottery game packet to the workflow module.

Claims (47)

1. A system for processing a lottery game, comprising:

at least one platform;

a digital ledger;

at least one network processor in a workflow server;

a workflow module comprising at least one set of workflow instructions; and

at least one computer readable storage medium storing computer executable instructions;

wherein the digital ledger is operable to record a plurality of lottery transactions from a plurality of different jurisdictions, wherein each of the plurality of lottery transactions includes a lottery transaction element;

wherein the at least one network processor is operable to process the plurality of lottery transactions from the plurality of different jurisdictions as lottery game packets;

wherein the at least one platform is operable to selectively present and enable each of the plurality of lottery transactions depending on a location of at least one participant of the lottery game and the plurality of different jurisdictions;

wherein the at least one platform is operable to send at least one notification to the at least one participant of the lottery game based on the location of the at least one participant; and

wherein the at least one notification includes the plurality of lottery transactions available in the one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is operable to include at least one smart contract.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one smart contract is operable to distribute winnings of the lottery game to the at least one participant of the lottery game.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is operable to audit a lottery transaction.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is operable to validate a lottery transaction element.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the lottery transaction element is a ticket and/or a digital transaction element.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one platform is operable to determine the location of the at least one participant of the lottery game using Global Positioning System (GPS) information or geo-fencing information.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one notification is automatically generated once the at least one participant moves into one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is configured to confirm that each unit of value of a lottery transaction is transferred only once.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is configured to assign title rights to a lottery transaction.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is operable to provide a record of an offer of the lottery transaction.

12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one platform is operable to route each of the plurality of lottery transactions to a general account depending on the location, the plurality of different jurisdictions, and information about the lottery game packets.

13. The system of claim 1 , wherein the lottery game is selected from at least one of:

an allotment by chance, bet, chance, draw, drawing, gamble, game of chance, lot, raffle, sweepstake and wager.

14. The system of claim 1 , wherein the platform is operable to accept cryptocurrency.

15. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital ledger is operable to manage the identity of the at least one participant of the lottery game.

16. A system for processing a lottery game, comprising:

at least one platform;

a digital ledger;

at least one network processor in a workflow server;

a deep packet inspection module;

a workflow module comprising at least one set of workflow instructions; and

at least one computer readable storage medium storing computer executable instructions;

wherein the digital ledger is operable to record a plurality of lottery transactions from a plurality of different jurisdictions, wherein each of the plurality of lottery transactions includes a lottery transaction element;

wherein the at least one network processor is operable to process the plurality of lottery transactions from the plurality of different jurisdictions in lottery game packets;

wherein the deep packet inspection module is operable to inspect the lottery game packets and provide information about the lottery game packet to the workflow module;

wherein the at least one platform is operable to send at least one notification to at least one participant of the lottery game based on the location of the at least one participant; and

wherein the at least one notification includes at least one of the plurality of lottery transactions available in the one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein the at least one notification is automatically generated once the at least one participant moves into one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

18. A method for processing a lottery game, comprising:

a digital ledger recording a plurality of lottery transactions from a plurality of different jurisdictions, wherein each of the plurality of lottery transactions includes a lottery transaction element;

at least one network processor processing the plurality of lottery transactions from the plurality of different jurisdictions as lottery game packets;

at least one platform selectively presenting and enabling each of the plurality of lottery transactions depending on a location of at least one participant of the lottery game and the plurality of different jurisdictions;

wherein the at least one platform is operable to send at least one notification to the at least one participant of the lottery game based on the location of the at least one participant; and

wherein the at least one notification includes the plurality of lottery transactions available in the one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the at least one notification is automatically generated once the at least one participant moves into one of the plurality of different jurisdictions.

20. The method of claim 18 , further comprising the at least one platform routing each of the plurality of lottery transactions to a general account depending on the location, the plurality of different jurisdictions, and information about the lottery game packets.
