Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first node may transmit, to a second node on a beamformed link from the first node to the second node, a first signal, wherein the first node and the second node are associated with common timing; determine whether a second signal, based at least in part on the first signal, is received on a beamformed link from the second node to the first node; and transmit a third signal based at least in part on receiving the second signal or perform a sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on determining that the second signal is not received. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Claims (56)

1. An apparatus for wireless communication at a first node, comprising:

one or more memories; and

transmit, to a second node and on a beamformed link from the first node to the second node, a first signal; and

perform a sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on failing to receive a second signal, associated with the first signal, a threshold number of times,

wherein the second signal includes a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) signal.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first signal includes a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS).

3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first signal is associated with a resource allocation that is known to one or more of the first node or the second node before transmission of the first signal.

4. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the resource allocation is known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

5. The apparatus of claim 3 ,

wherein the resource allocation is a first resource allocation, and

wherein the second signal is associated with a second resource allocation that is known to one or more of the first node or the second node before transmission of the first signal.

6. The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

7. The apparatus of claim 1 ,

wherein the first signal is associated with a first resource allocation,

wherein the second signal is associated with a second resource allocation, and

wherein one or more of the first resource allocation or the second resource allocation are determined by one or more of the first node or the second node.

8. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are determined by one or more of the first node or the second node.

9. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein one or more of the first resource allocation or the second resource allocation are known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

10. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are known to one or more of the first node or the second node before transmission of the first signal.

11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

12. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are determined by one or more of the first node or the second node.

13. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first node is a first user equipment.

14. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the second node is a second user equipment.

15. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors, to perform the sidelink beam failure recovery procedure, are configured to cause the first node to perform the sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on failing to receive the second signal the threshold number of times on one or more beamformed links between the second node and the first node.

16. The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the one or more beamformed links include the beamformed link.

17. A method of wireless communication performed by a first node, comprising:

transmitting, to a second node and on a beamformed link from the first node to the second node, a first signal; and

performing a sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on failing to receive a second signal, associated with the first signal, a threshold number of times,

wherein the second signal includes a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) signal.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the first signal includes a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS).

19. The method of claim 17 , wherein the first signal is associated with a resource allocation that is known to one or more of the first node or the second node before transmission of the first signal.

20. The method of claim 19 , wherein the resource allocation is known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

21. The method of claim 19 ,

wherein the resource allocation is a first resource allocation,

wherein the second signal is associated with a second resource allocation, and

wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are known to one or more of the first node or the second node before transmission of the first signal.

22. The method of claim 21 , wherein the first resource allocation and the second resource allocation are known to the first node and the second node before transmission of the first signal.

23. The method of claim 17 ,

wherein the first signal is associated with a first resource allocation,

wherein the second signal is associated with a second resource allocation, and

wherein one or more of the first resource allocation or the second resource allocation are determined by one or more of the first node or the second node.
