Abstract

A lighting device including at least one first light source configured to emit a visible light through a first light emitting surface, at least one second light source spaced apart from the first light source and configured to emit light having a wavelength for sterilization through a second light emitting surface, and a housing having a bottom portion, on which the first and second light sources are disposed. The housing can include at least one sidewall portion connected to the bottom portion to enclose the first light source and the second light source in one common area, in which the first and second light emitting surfaces face substantially the same direction, and both the first light emitting surface and the second light emitting surface can be disposed at a different elevation from the bottom portion of the housing.

Claims (41)

1. A lighting device comprising:

a plurality of first emitters configured to emit a visible light through a first light surface;

a second emitter spaced apart from the plurality of first emitters and configured to emit light including a wavelength for sterilization through a second light surface;

a housing comprising a bottom, on which the plurality of first emitters and the second emitter are disposed; and

a cover connected to the housing and covering at least one of: the plurality of first emitters or the second emitter,

wherein the plurality of first emitters and the second emitter face substantially the same direction,

wherein each of the first light surface and the second light surface is disposed at a different elevation from the bottom of the housing, and

wherein an interval between the second emitter and one of the plurality of first emitters adjacent to the second emitter is different from an interval between adjacent first emitters of the plurality of first emitters along a longitudinal direction of the housing.

2. The light emitting device of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of first emitters comprises a wavelength converter to emit white light.

3. The light emitting device of claim 2 , wherein the cover comprises a region to diffuse the light emitted from the plurality of first emitters.

4. The light emitting device of claim 2 , wherein the second emitter is exposed from the wavelength converter.

5. The light emitting device of claim 1 , further comprising a first substrate on which the plurality of first emitters are disposed, and a second substrate on which the second emitter is disposed.

6. The light emitting device of claim 5 , wherein each of the first substrate and the second substrate is disposed at a different elevation from the cover.

7. The light emitting device of claim 5 , wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are disposed on different planes from each other.

8. A lighting device comprising:

a plurality of first light sources each comprising a first emitter including a first light surface, each first light source being configured to emit a visible light emitted from the first emitter;

a second light source comprising a second emitter including a second light surface, the second emitter being configured to emit light comprising a wavelength for sterilization through the second light surface;

a housing including a bottom, on which at least one of the first emitters and the second emitter are disposed; and

a cover coupled to the housing to define a region enclosing at least one of: the plurality of first light sources or the second light source,

wherein at least one first emitter comprises a wavelength converter to emit white light,

wherein light emitted from the second emitter is configured to inactivate at least one of Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella Weltevreden, S. Typhumurium, Enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus cereus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Listeria monocytogenes, Yersinia enterocolitica, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium botulinum, Campylobacter jejuni , or Enterobacter sakazakii,

wherein each of the first light surface and the second light surface is disposed at a different elevation from the bottom of the housing, and

wherein an interval between the second emitter and one of the first light emitters adjacent to the second emitter is different from an interval between adjacent first light emitters along a longitudinal direction of the housing.

9. The light emitting device of claim 8 , wherein the cover comprises a region to diffuse the light emitted from at least one of the first emitters.

10. The light emitting device of claim 8 , wherein the second emitter is exposed from the wavelength converter.

11. The light emitting device of claim 8 , further comprising a first substrate on which the first emitter of at least one of the plurality of first light sources is disposed, and a second substrate on which the second emitter is disposed.

12. The light emitting device of claim 11 , wherein each of the first substrate and the second substrate is disposed at a different elevation from the cover.

13. The light emitting device of claim 11 , wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are disposed on different planes from each other.

14. A lighting device comprising:

a first emitter disposed on a first substrate and configured to emit a first light through a first light surface;

a second emitter disposed on a second substrate and configured to emit a second light including a different peak wavelength from the first light through a second light surface; and

a housing comprising a bottom, on which the first and second emitters are disposed;

wherein the first emitter comprises a wavelength converter to emit white light,

wherein each of the first light surface and the second light surface is disposed at a different elevation from the bottom of the housing, and

wherein the first emitter is adjacent to the second emitter, and wherein an interval between the second emitter and the first emitter is different from an interval between the first emitter and another adjacent first emitter along a longitudinal direction of the housing.

15. The light emitting device of claim 14 , wherein the second emitter is exposed from the wavelength converter.

16. The light emitting device of claim 14 , wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are disposed on different planes from each other.

17. The light emitting device of claim 14 , further comprising a cover coupled to the housing.

18. The light emitting device of claim 17 , wherein the cover comprises a region to diffuse the first light from the first light source.

19. The light emitting device of claim 17 , wherein each of the first substrate and the second substrate is disposed at a different elevation from the cover.

20. The light emitting device of claim 17 , further comprising a side wall disposed between the bottom of the housing and the cover.
