Abstract

A distributed cloud computing system is disclosed that includes a controller configured to deploy a first gateway in a first cloud computing network and a second gateway in a second cloud computing network, and a topology system logic, stored on non-transitory, computer-medium, and comprising a topology snapshot logic. Upon execution by one or more processors, the topology system logic causes performance of operations that includes periodically saving states of a plurality of constructs at first and second time states, receiving user input corresponding to a selection of one or more constructs of the plurality of constructs, generating a topology mapping visualization that illustrates differences between the first and second states of the selection of one or more constructs of the plurality of constructs, and causing rendering of the topology mapping visualization on a display screen of a network device.

causing rendering of the topology mapping visualization on a display screen of a network device.

2. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein the combination of the metadata and the network data are used to identify each of the plurality of constructs and in which cloud computing network each construct is deployed.

3. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein the topology snapshot logic saves states to a snapshot database.

4. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein the topology system logic, upon execution by the one or more processors, causes performance of further operations including:

receiving user input corresponding to an identifier for the selection of the one or more constructs;

storing an indication of the selection of one or more constructs, and the identifier, including generating a table within a database associating the identifier with each selected construct.

5. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein the topology system logic, upon execution by the one or more processors, causes performance of further operations prior to generating the topology mapping visualization including:

receiving user input corresponding to an identifier for the selection of the one or more constructs;

receiving further user input corresponding to a search term, wherein the search term is the identifier, and wherein generating the topology mapping visualization is in accordance with the search term.

6. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein generating the topology mapping visualization includes:

excluding all constructs and communication paths except the selected constructs and all communication pathways therebetween.

7. The distributed cloud computing system of claim 1 , wherein the topology system logic, upon execution by the one or more processors, causes performance of further operations including:

generating and causing rendering of a visualization illustrating network traffic metrics, wherein the network traffic metrics pertain to transmission and receipt of network traffic between constructs deployed in the first cloud computing network and the second cloud computing network;

receiving user input corresponding to an identifier for the selection of the one or more constructs;

receiving further user input corresponding to a search term, wherein the search term is the identifier; and

generating and causing rendering of a visualization illustrating the network traffic metrics filtered in accordance with the search term.

8. A computerized method comprising:

deploy, by a controller, a first gateway in a first cloud computing network and a second gateway in a second cloud computing network;
