Abstract

A radiation system is provided. The radiation system may include a bore accommodating an object, a rotary ring, a first radiation source and a second radiation source mounted on the rotary ring and a processor. The first radiation source may be configured to emit a first cone beam toward a first region of the object. The second radiation source may be configured to emit a second beam toward a second region of the object, the second region including at least a part of the first region. The processor may be configured to obtain a treatment plan of the object, the treatment plan including parameters associated with radiation segments. The processor may be further configured to control an emission of the first cone beam and/or the second beam based on the parameters associated with the radiation segments to perform a treatment and a 3-D imaging simultaneously.

cause a rotary ring to rotate around the object; and

control, based on the treatment plan, an emission of a treatment radiation source and an imaging radiation source mounted on the rotary ring, to control the emission of the treatment radiation source, the processor is configured to cause the radiation system to:

partition a target tissue of the object into one or more subvolumes, a subvolume of the one or more subvolumes is a substantially spherical core subvolume that requires little collimator adjustment as a function of beam incidence angle;

adjust a position of the subvolume such that a center of the subvolume overlaps with a rotational isocenter of the treatment radiation source; and

treat the subvolume and at least one other subvolume of the one or more subvolumes serially.

2. The radiation system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the radiation system further to:

obtain respiration information of the object;

control a rotation of the rotary ring based at least in part on the rotation parameter.

3. The radiation system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the radiation system further to:

cause the rotary ring to rotate around the object continuously for at least two full rotations, wherein a period that the rotary ring rotates a full rotation is not more than half of an average respiration period of the object.

4. The radiation system of claim 3 , wherein the treatment radiation source emits a first cone beam and the imaging radiation source emits a second beam in a same full rotation of the rotary ring.

5. The radiation system of claim 3 , wherein the treatment radiation source emits a first cone beam and the imaging radiation source emits a second beam in a same fraction of a full rotation of the rotary ring.

6. The radiation system of claim 1 , wherein an angular offset between the treatment radiation source and the imaging radiation source in a rotation plane of the rotary ring remains unchanged during the rotation of the rotary ring.

7. The radiation system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to cause the radiation system further to:

adjust an aperture formed by a collimator positioned between the object and the treatment radiation source based on the treatment plan.

8. A radiation system, comprising:

a storage device including a set of instructions; and

a processor in communication with the storage device, wherein when executing the set of instructions, the processor is configured to cause the radiation system to:

obtain a treatment plan of an object;

cause a rotary ring where a treatment radiation source and an imaging radiation source are mounted to rotate around the object, wherein a rotation speed of the rotary ring is determined based on respiration information of the object;
