Abstract

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to dynamically control devices based on distributed data are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a comparator to compare a first measurement measured by a first peer device to a second measurement, the second measurement being measured locally by the apparatus; and an operation adjuster to, when the comparison satisfies a threshold, adjust a measurement protocol of the first peer device.

4. The first device of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to cause transmission of an indication of a leader protocol to an aggregator, the aggregator to track ones of the plurality of devices that operated as leaders of the plurality of devices during different sampling intervals.

5. The first device of claim 4 , wherein the ones of the plurality of devices that operated as the leaders of the plurality of devices during different sampling intervals include a third device different from the first device.

7. The first device of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to detect the change to the topology of the network in response to an absence of data expected to be received from one of the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices.

8. The first device of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to, in response to determining that a threshold amount of time has passed, cause renegotiation with the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices to determine whether one of the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices is to operate as the leader.

9. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions to cause at least one processor circuit of a first device to at least:

discover a topology of a plurality of devices in a network, the plurality of devices including the first device;

negotiate with one or more other devices of the plurality of devices to determine a leader protocol, the leader protocol to cause the first device to become a leader of the plurality of devices during a sampling interval;

detect a change to the topology of the plurality of devices in the network to cause renegotiation of the leader protocol.

10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein to discover the topology, the instructions are to cause one or more of the at least one processor circuit to:

at least one of (a) cause transmission of a first advertisement to the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices or (b) process respective advertisements received from the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices; and

in response to determining the topology of the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices in the network, cause transmission of the topology to the plurality of devices in the network.

11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions are to cause one or more of the at least one processor circuit to negotiate with the one or more other devices of the plurality of devices based on at least one of (a) respective residual energies of the plurality of devices, (b) respective locations of the plurality of devices, or (c) respective bandwidths of the plurality of devices.

12. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions are to cause one or more of the at least one processor circuit to cause transmission of an indication of the leader protocol to an aggregator, the aggregator to track ones of the plurality of devices that operated as leaders of the plurality of devices during different sampling intervals.
