Abstract

Claims (78)

1. A method for use with a non-fungible token (NFT) platform that includes a processor and a memory, the method comprising:

receiving, via the processor, player data to be associated with a player token NFT corresponding to a player character in a multiplayer game;

receiving, via the processor, other data, wherein the other data includes player hierarchy data to be associated with the player token NFT, the player hierarchy data indicating a player hierarchy corresponding to a group of characters in the multiplayer game that includes the player character, the player hierarchy further indicating associations between the player character and other characters of the group of characters of the player hierarchy having differing levels compared to a level of the player character in the player hierarchy;

facilitating creation of the player token NFT via a blockchain-based distributed computer network, based on the player data and the player hierarchy data; and

facilitating multiplayer game play of the multiplayer game by the player character based on the player token NFT and by the other characters of the group of characters in accordance with the player hierarchy.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving updated player hierarchy data responsive to the multiplayer game play; and

updating the player token NFT associated with the multiplayer game, based on the updated player hierarchy data.

3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the updated player hierarchy data indicates a player's disassociation with a player hierarchy, and wherein updating the player token NFT associated with the multiplayer game indicates the player's disassociation with the player hierarchy.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving player hierarchical data responsive to the multiplayer game play; and

updating the player token NFT associated with the multiplayer game, based on the player hierarchical data, with imagery associated with the player hierarchical data.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a player's disassociation with a first player hierarchy and association with a second player hierarchy; and

updating the player token NFT associated with the multiplayer game, based on the player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating the player's disassociation with a first player hierarchy and association with a second player hierarchy.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating termination of one of the group of characters; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating promotion of one of the group of characters; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating demotion of one of the group of characters; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

10. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a termination of one of the group of characters;

generating a player hierarchy update indicating the termination of the one of the group of characters and a disassociation of others of the group of characters beneath the one of the group of characters in the player hierarchy; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

11. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a termination of one of the group of characters;

generating a player hierarchy update indicating the termination of the one of the group of characters and a promotion of at least one other of the group of characters beneath the one of the group of characters in the player hierarchy; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

12. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a player hierarchy update responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a player character's disassociation with a first player hierarchy and association with a second player hierarchy;

updating player token NFTs associated with player character's in the first player hierarchy, based on the player hierarchy update indicating the player character's's disassociation with the first player hierarchy; and

updating player token NFTs associated with player character's in the second player hierarchy, based on the player hierarchy update indicating the player character's association with the second player hierarchy.

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a promotion of one of the group of characters;

generating a player hierarchy update indicating the promotion of the one of the group of characters and a promotion of at least one of the group of characters beneath the one of the group of characters in the player hierarchy; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

14. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a demotion of one of the group of characters;

generating a player hierarchy update indicating the demotion of the one of the group of characters and a demotion of at least one of the group of characters beneath the one of the group of characters in the player hierarchy; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

15. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a termination of one of the group of characters;

generating challenge data indicating a challenge to others of the group of characters beneath the one of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

receiving challenge resolution data indicating resolution of the challenge;

generating a player hierarchy update based on the termination of the one of the group of characters and the challenge resolution data; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

16. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a challenge to ones of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

receiving challenge resolution data indicating resolution of the challenge;

generating a player hierarchy update based on the challenge resolution data; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

17. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a challenge to a subset of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

receiving challenge resolution data indicating resolution of the challenge indicating a refusal of the challenge by one of the subset of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

generating a player hierarchy update based on the challenge resolution data to disassociate the one of the subset of the group of characters; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

18. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving game play data responsive to the multiplayer game play indicating a challenge to a subset of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

receiving challenge resolution data indicating resolution of the challenge indicating a refusal of the challenge by one of the subset of the group of characters in the player hierarchy;

generating a player hierarchy update based on the challenge resolution data to demote the one of the subset of the group of characters; and

updating player token NFTs associated with the group of characters based on the player hierarchy update.

19. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

storing the player token NFT in a wallet associated with a user of a client device.

20. A system comprises:

a network interface configured to communicate via a network;

a processor;

a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium that stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations that include:

receiving, via the processor, player data to be associated with a player token NFT corresponding to a player character in a multiplayer game;

receiving, via the processor, other data, wherein the other data includes player hierarchy data to be associated with the player token NFT, the player hierarchy data indicating a player hierarchy corresponding to a group of characters in the multiplayer game that includes the player character, the player hierarchy further indicating associations between the player character and other characters of the group of characters of the player hierarchy having differing levels compared to a level of the player character in the player hierarchy;

facilitating creation of the player token NFT via a blockchain-based distributed computer network, based on the player data and the player hierarchy data; and

facilitating multiplayer game play of the multiplayer game by the player character based on the player token NFT and by the other characters of the group of characters in accordance with the player hierarchy.
