Floating tabletop display
View Patent ↗A tabletop display is provided, having a tabletop surface and a monitor spaced from the tabletop surface and angled obliquely with respect to the tabletop surface. The monitor defines a front, display surface and an opposing back surface. The tabletop display also includes a column extending from the tabletop surface to the back surface of the monitor, an input mechanism comprising an input aperture spaced from the tabletop surface, and an output mechanism comprising an output aperture spaced from the tabletop surface.
1. An electronic gaming device comprising:
a display device comprising a display surface and a back surface, the display device coupled to a support extending between a tabletop surface and a portion of the back surface;
an input device included in a front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the input device; and
an output device included in the front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the output device, wherein the input device and the output device are coupled to the support in a lateral side-by-side manner, and wherein a front edge of the display device extends beyond the front surface of the support.
2. The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the support comprises a column.
3. The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , further comprising the tabletop surface.
4. The electronic gaming device of claim 3 , wherein the tabletop surface comprises a plurality of buttons.
5. The electronic gaming device of claim 4 , wherein the front edge of the display device further extends beyond at least part of the plurality of buttons.
6. The electronic gaming device of claim 3 , wherein the input device and the output device are spaced a distance above the tabletop surface.
7. The electronic gaming device of claim 3 , wherein the tabletop surface comprises a plurality of display devices coupled thereto.
8. The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the display device is adjustable between a first position in which the display surface is angled at a first angle and a second position in which the display surface is angled at a second angle.
9. The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the front edge of the display device extends beyond the input device and the output device to prevent at least one of detritus, debris, or liquids from entering at least one of the input device or the output device.
10. The electronic gaming device of claim 1 , wherein the input device and the output device are coupled to the support for the display device as being spaced apart from the tabletop surface to prevent damage to at least one of the input device or the output device.
11. The electronic gaming device of claim 10 , wherein the input device and the output device are spaced above the tabletop surface.
12. A tabletop device comprising:
a display device comprising a display surface and a back surface, the display device coupled to a support extending between a tabletop surface and a portion of the back surface;
an input device included in a front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the input device; and
an output device included in the front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the output device, wherein the input device and the output device are coupled to the support in a lateral side-by-side manner, and wherein a front edge of the display device extends beyond the front surface of the support.
13. The tabletop device of claim 12 , wherein the support comprises a column.
14. The tabletop device of claim 12 , further comprising the tabletop surface.
15. The tabletop device of claim 14 , wherein the tabletop surface comprises a plurality of buttons.
16. The tabletop device of claim 14 , wherein the input device and the output device are spaced a distance above the tabletop surface.
17. The tabletop device of claim 14 , wherein the tabletop surface comprises a plurality of display devices coupled thereto.
18. The tabletop device of claim 12 , wherein the display device is adjustable between a first position in which the display surface is angled at a first angle and a second position in which the display surface is angled at a second angle.
19. A method of installing a gaming device comprising:
inserting the gaming device into a frame, wherein the gaming device comprises:
a display device comprising a display surface and a back surface, the display device coupled to a support extending between a tabletop surface and a portion of the back surface;
an input device included in a front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the input device; and
an output device included in the front surface of the support beneath the display device, wherein the display surface is oriented obliquely with respect to the output device, wherein the input device and the output device are coupled to the support in a lateral side-by-side manner, and wherein a front edge of the display device extends beyond the front surface of the support.
20. The method of claim 19 , further comprising removing a different gaming device from the frame before inserting the gaming device into the frame.
