Abstract

A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image and a supporting member at a rear surface of the display panel. The display apparatus also includes a sound generator between the display panel and the supporting member, and at least one vibration member between the display panel and the supporting member.

Claims (23)

1. A display apparatus, comprising:

a display panel configured to display an image;

a supporting member at a rear surface of the display panel;

a sound generator between the display panel and the supporting member;

at least one vibration transfer member between the display panel and the sound generator; and

at least one vibration generation member between the sound generator and a surface of the supporting member facing the display panel,

wherein the at least one vibration transfer member is configured to transfer a vibration having a high-pitched sound band of the sound generator to the display panel to generate sound,

wherein the at least one vibration generation member is configured to act as a spring and apply flux to a vibration of the sound generator to lower a frequency band of the sound generator to allow a sound having a low-pitched sound band to be output,

wherein the sound generator is attached to the rear surface of the display panel with the at least one vibration transfer member therebetween,

wherein the sound generator is attached to a surface of the supporting member with the at least one vibration generator member therebetween, and

wherein the at least one vibration generation member is thicker than the at least one vibration transfer member in a cross-sectional view.

2. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one vibration generation member is configured to lower a frequency band of the sound generator to allow the sound generator to generate and output a sound having a low-pitched sound band.

3. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising at least one adhesive member configured to attach the at least one vibration transfer member to the sound generator and to the display panel.

4. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising at least one adhesive member configured to attach the at least one vibration transfer member to the display panel.

5. The display apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising at least one adhesive member configured to attach the at least one vibration generation member to the sound generator.

6. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one vibration transfer member is at a center portion of a surface of the sound generator and/or wherein the at least one vibration transfer member is at a center portion of the rear surface of the display panel.

7. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one vibration generation member is at a periphery portion of the sound generator and/or wherein the at least one vibration generation member is at a periphery portion of the display panel.

8. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the sound generator is configured to vibrate the display panel via the at least one vibration transfer member to generate sound.

9. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one vibration generation member includes a material different from a material of the at least one vibration transfer member.

10. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein:

the at least one vibration transfer member comprises one of metal, plastic, and a carbon fiber, and

the at least one vibration generation member comprises a rubber-based material or a cushion material.

11. The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the sound generator comprises a piezoelectric sound generator.
