Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for combining IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than 4G communication systems, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security- and safety-related services, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. The present disclosure relates to a method and device for transmitting and receiving control information.

Claims (65)

1. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a base station, capability information including information on a support capability of the terminal associated with a target block error rate (BLER) of 10-5;

receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) identifying whether a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the DCI is scrambled by a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or a second type RNTI, the first type RNTI being associated with a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table and a target BLER of 10-1, and the second type RNTI being associated with a second MCS table and the target BLER of 10-5 for an ultra reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) service;

receiving, from the base station, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the DCI;

in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the first type RNTI, identifying a modulation order and a target code rate for the PDSCH based on the first MCS table, and

in case that the CRC of DCI is scrambled by the second type RNTI. identifying the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH based on the second MCS table.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, a message configuring a channel quality indicator (CQI) table associated with the target BLER of 10-5 by higher layer signaling.

3. The method of claim 1 ,

wherein of the first MCS table and the second MCS table are pre-defined.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, second DCI scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and

transmitting, to the base station, the PUSCH,

wherein, in case that a CRC of the second DCI scheduling the PUSCH is scrambled by the second type RNTI associated with the second MCS table, a modulation order and a target code rate for the PUSCH are determined based on the second MCS table.

5. A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a terminal, capability information including information on a support capability of the terminal associated with a target block error rate (BLER) of 10-5;

transmitting, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI), a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the DCI being scrambled by a first type radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or a second type RNTI;

generating a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on a modulation order and a target code rate for the PDSCH; and

transmitting, to the terminal, the PDSCH based on the DCI,

wherein the first type RNTI is associated with a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table and a target BLER of 10-1, and the second type RNTI is associated with a second MCS table and the target BLER of 10-5 for an ultra reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) service,

wherein, in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the first type RNTI, the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH is based on the first MCS table, and

wherein, in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the second type RNTI, the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH is based on the second MCS table.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

transmitting, to the terminal, a message configuring a channel quality indicator (CQI) table associated with the target BLER of 10-5 by higher layer signaling.

7. The method of claim 5 ,

wherein a plurality ofthe first MCS tablestable and the second MCS table areis pre- defined.

8. The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

transmitting, to the terminal, second DCI scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and

receiving, from the terminal. the PUSCH,

wherein, in case that a CRC of the second DCI scheduling the PUSCH is scrambled by the second type RNTI associated with the second MCS table, a modulation order and a target code rate for the PUSCH are determined based on the second MCS table.

9. A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal; and

a controller configured to:

transmit, to a base station, capability information including information on a support capability of the terminal associated with a target block error rate (BLER) of 10-5,

receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI),

identify whether a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the DCI is scrambled by a first type radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or a second type RNTI. the first type RNTI being associated with a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table and a target BLER of 10-1, and the second type RNTI being associated with a second MCS table and the target BLER of 10-5 for an ultra reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) service,

receive, from the base station, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the DCI,

in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the first type RNTI, identify a modulation order and a target code rate for the PDSCH based on the first MCS table, and

in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the second type RNTI. identify the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH based on the second MCS table.

10. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the controller is further configured to:

receive, from the base station, a message configuring a channel quality indicator (CQI) table associated with the target BLER of 10-5 by higher layer signaling.

11. The terminal of claim 9 ,

wherein of the first MCS table and the second MCS table are pre-defined.

12. The terminal of claim 9 , wherein the controller is further configured to:

receive, from the base station, second DCI scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and

transmit, to the base station, the PUSCH,

wherein, in case that a CRC of the second DCI scheduling the PUSCH is scrambled by the second type RNTI associated with the second MCS table, a modulation order and a target code rate for the PUSCH are determined based on the second MCS table.

13. A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal; and

a controller configured to:

receive, from a terminal, capability information including information on a support acapability associated with a target block error rate (BLER) of 10-5,

transmit, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI), a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the DCI being scrambled by a first type radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) or a second type RNTI,

generate a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on a modulation order and a target code rate for the PDSCH, and

transmit, to the terminal, the PDSCH based on the DCI,

wherein the first type RNTI is associated with a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) table and a target BLER of 10-1, and the second type RNTI is associated with a second MCS table and the target BLER of 10-5 for an ultra reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) service,

wherein, in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the first type RNTI. the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH are based on (the first MCS) table, and

wherein, in case that the CRC of the DCI is scrambled by the second type RNTI. the modulation order and the target code rate for the PDSCH is based on the second MCS table.

14. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the controller is further configured to:

transmit, to the terminal, a message configuring a channel quality indicator (CQI) table associated with the target BLER of 10-5 by higher layer signaling.

15. The base station of claim 13 ,

wherein of the first MCS table and the second MCS table are pre-defined.

16. The base station of claim 13 , wherein the controller is further configured to:

transmit, to the terminal, second DCI scheduling a physical uplink shared channel PUSCH), and

receive, from the terminal. the PUSCH,

wherein, in case that a CRC of the second DCI scheduling the PUSCH is scrambled by the second type RNTI associated with the second MCS table, a modulation order and a target code rate for the PUSCH are determined based on the second MCS table.
