Abstract

The invention relates to a blade-type check valve for gaseous and liquid media, to be used in medical technology as well as in waste water technology with at least three triangular blades, grouped in round configuration at the edges of a polygonal bore of a valve ring, with the number of blades corresponding to the number of faces of the bore. At least at one of the three sides, the valve blades feature an integrated joint, which may also consist of fabric, whereas the two other sides of the valve blades form an articulated lock. The valve can be installed in any position and closes automatically, actuated by the backflow respectively return flow of the medium, without external energy.

Claims (35)

1. An automatically working blade-type check valve, opened and closed by a current of a gaseous or a liquid medium, comprising:

at least three triangular-shaped valve blades, wherein each of the valve blades includes a three-dimensional shape with a flat side facing a flow direction of the gaseous or liquid medium and a pyramid-shaped or truncated-pyramid-shaped back side;

wherein a first joint element is integrated to at least one edge of the flat side of the valve blade as an integral part of the valve blade;

a valve ring having a polygonal through bore with at least three inner edges of said polygonal through bore; wherein at least one second joint element is integrated along each inner edge; and

wherein each first joint element of the valve blades is pivotally attached to at least one of the second joint elements of the valve ring;

wherein the first and second joint elements are configured such that each valve blade has an axis of rotation at the edge thereof to which the first joint element is integrated, which edge contacts the valve ring, in both open and closed positions of the valve blade, at an edge of the polygonal through bore that is also at the axis of rotation of the valve blade.

2. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein at least one of said first and said second joint elements comprises one single piece in form of a part of a bore or a part of a bolt without requiring additional parts for a plug-in connection and detachment.

3. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein said first and said second joint elements have been made together from one single piece as a film joint or fabric joint.

4. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein at least one of said first joint element and said second joint elements are manufactured as one single piece or is an integrated component of another part.

5. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein each of said valve blades includes a three-dimensional shape and both sides of an apex of said valve blade are outwards chamfered.

6. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein

said valve blades includes a left and a right triangular shaped lateral blade each; and

said left and said right lateral blades are swiveling jointed to their own valve blade each; and

each left lateral blade is swiveling jointed to the right lateral blade of its left adjacent valve blade with a slewing angle between 0° and 180°.

7. The check valve of claim 6 , wherein said joints of said lateral blades are only partially present between the lateral blades and the valve blades.

8. The check valve of claim 7 , wherein said lateral blades are only partially respectively present each along edges of the valve blades to which the lateral blades are swiveling jointed.

9. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein both sides of an apex of the valve blade, or a part of them, are formed as a positive and a negative lock-joint element, respectively, as a part of a bolt and a part of a bore.

10. The check valve of claim 9 , wherein bores or slots are provided in said negative lock-elements of the valve blades.

11. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein both sides of an apex of the valve blade, or a part of them, are formed as a wedge-shaped edge and a V-shaped slot, respectively, as wedge-joint elements.

12. The check valve of claim 1 , further comprising a grid structure with a hollow center that is inside the polygonal through bore, the grid structure being a support and limitation of a closing position of the valve blades.

13. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein radial ribs are provided inside the polygonal through bore as a support and limitation of a closing position of the valve blades.

14. The check valve of claim 13 , wherein said radial ribs ascend diagonally in a funnel or parabolic configuration towards a valve tip.

15. The check valve of claim 14 , wherein the material of said radial ribs touches the inside surface of said valve blades in a closing position and is shaped as a saw-tooth.

16. The check valve of claim 13 , wherein burls are provided at an inside, i.e., at the flat side of the valve blades, used as a support and limitation of the closing position of the valve blades, in the form of spacers to minimize the contact area with said radial ribs.

17. The check valve of claim 1 , further comprising bulge-type reinforcement ribs on a back side of the valve blades opposite to the flat side.

18. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein at least one of first and second joint elements of triangular-shaped valve blades is made as one piece from biological or synthetic fibers.

19. The check valve of claim 1 wherein at least one of the joint elements has an additional axial freedom of movement through respectively an axial joint clearance.

20. The check valve of claim 1 , wherein at least one pair of said first joint elements and said second joint elements are manufactured together as one single piece by warp or sewing thread through weaving.

21. An automatically working blade-type check valve, opened and closed by a current of a gaseous or a liquid medium, comprising:

a valve ring having a through bore, wherein a plurality of second joint elements are connected to the valve ring; and

at least three triangular-shaped valve blades, wherein a first joint element is connected to at least one side of each triangular-shaped valve blade;

wherein each first joint element of the valve blades is pivotally attached to at least one of the plurality of second joint elements;

wherein each of the valve blades includes a three-dimensional shape with a flat side facing a flow direction of the gaseous or liquid medium and a pyramid-shaped or truncated-pyramid-shaped back side;

wherein radial ribs are provided inside the polygonal through bore as a support and limitation of a closing position of the valve blades, said radial ribs ascend diagonally in a funnel or parabolic configuration towards a valve tip, and the material of said radial ribs touches the inside surface of said valve blades in a closing position and is shaped as a saw-tooth.

22. The check valve of claim 21 , wherein said edges of said polygonal through bore form a rotary axis of said valve blades and a sealing edge.
