Abstract

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an ultra-wideband (UWB) system comprising: a memory in which a UWB ranging factor definition program is embedded; and a processor which executes the program, wherein the processor predefines UWB ranging factors to define a nonce in consideration of a unique key characteristic of an individual device.

Claims (12)

1. An ultra-wideband (UWB) system comprising:

a memory in which a UWB ranging factor definition program is embedded; and

a processor which executes the program,

wherein the processor predefines UWB ranging factors for an encryption mode to define a nonce in consideration of a unique key characteristic of an individual device, wherein the nonce is generated based on source information;

wherein the processor further defines a scrambled timestamp sequence (STS) index and an encryption key.

2. The UWB system of claim 1 , wherein numbers assigned according to a training order of the individual devices are used as the nonces.

3. The UWB system of claim 1 , wherein the processor defines STS encryption key, Data encryption key, and STS Index encryption key as the encryption keys.

4. The UWB system of claim 1 , wherein the processor defines Salt, Source Address, and RandomCounter as the nonces.

5. The UWB system of claim 1 , wherein the processor defines the STS index, the encryption key, and the nonce in consideration of characteristic information by using encryption key values created according to the same rule on the basis of a random value provided by a device or a seed value provided by a vehicle.

6. The UWB system of claim 5 , wherein the processor determines the STS index in consideration of a characteristic of an n-byte random value that is changed every ranging.

7. The UWB system of claim 5 , wherein the n-byte random value is delivered through a pre-poll every ranging, and STS of a poll, a response, and a final message are created using the determined STS index.

8. The UWB system of claim 5 , wherein the processor determines the encryption key in consideration of a unique m-byte key characteristic for each set of a vehicle and a device.
