Abstract

A transmission device according to the present disclosure includes: a driver that transmits a transmission signal including two or more signals; an alternating current signal generator including a phase-locked loop circuit that generates an alternating current signal, the alternating current signal generator being configured to set a phase and frequency of the alternating current signal; an amplifier configured to amplify the alternating current signal generated by the alternating current signal generator and set amplitude of the alternating current signal; and a superimposer that superimposes the alternating current signal amplified by the amplifier on the two or more signals.

Claims (78)

1. A transmission device, comprising:

a driver configured to transmit a transmission signal that includes at least two signals;

an alternating current signal generator that includes a phase-locked loop circuit, wherein the alternating current signal generator is configured to:

generate a first alternating current signal of a plurality of alternating current signals;

set a first phase of the first alternating current signal; and

set a frequency of the first alternating current signal;

an amplifier configured to:

amplify the first alternating current signal generated by the alternating current signal generator; and

set an amplitude of the first alternating current signal; and

a superimposer that includes at least two capacitors, wherein the at least two capacitors are configured to superimpose the first alternating current signal amplified by the amplifier on the at least two signals.

The transmission device according to claim 1 , further comprising a storage configured to store first setting data of the first phase of the first alternating current signal, second setting data of the frequency of the first alternating current signal, and third setting data of the amplitude of the first alternating current signal.

3. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein the phase-locked loop circuit includes:

a phase comparator circuit configured to compare the first phase of the first alternating current signal with a second phase of a second alternating current signal of the plurality of alternating current signals;

a loop filter configured to generate control voltage corresponding to a result of the comparison;

an oscillator circuit configured to generate an oscillating signal that has a specific frequency corresponding to the control voltage; and

a frequency divider circuit configured to:

execute frequency-dividing operation on the oscillating signal at a specific frequency division ratio;

generate the second alternating current signal based on the frequency-dividing operation;

generate the plurality of alternating current signals based on the frequency-dividing operation; and

select one of the plurality of alternating current signals as a third alternating current signal.

4. The transmission device according to claim 3 , further comprising a data generator configured to generate transmission data based on the oscillating signal, wherein the driver is further configured to transmit the transmission signal based on the transmission data.

5. The transmission device according to claim 3 , wherein

the alternating current signal generator is further configured to set the first phase of the first alternating current signal based on a delay of the first alternating current signal.

6. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein the alternating current signal generator is further configured to set the first phase of the first alternating current signal based on a delay of the first alternating current signal.

7. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein

the transmission signal includes two signals of the at least two signals, and

each of the two signals includes a differential signal.

8. The transmission device according to claim 7 , wherein

the driver is further configured to output one of the two signals to a first node and a second node, and

the at least two capacitors include:

a first capacitor that includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein

the first terminal of the first capacitor is coupled to the first node, and

the second terminal of the first capacitor is configured to receive the first alternating current signal; and

a second capacitor that includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein

the first terminal of the second capacitor is coupled to the second node, and

the second terminal of the second capacitor is configured to receive the first alternating current signal.

9. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein

the transmission signal includes three signals including the at least two signals,

each of the three signals transition between one of three voltage levels, and

each of the three signals has a different voltage level.

10. The transmission device according to claim 9 , wherein

the driver is further configured to output one of the three signals to a first node, a second node, and a third node; and

the at least two capacitors include

a first capacitor that includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein

the first terminal of the first capacitor is coupled to the first node, and

the second terminal of the first capacitor is configured to receive the first alternating current signal;

a second capacitor that includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein

the first terminal of the second capacitor is coupled to the second node, and

the second terminal of the second capacitor is configured to receive the first alternating current signal; and

a third capacitor that includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein

the first terminal of the third capacitor is coupled to the third node, and

the second terminal of the third capacitor is configured to receive the first alternating current signal.

11. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein

average value of voltage levels in a first symbol is equal to average value of voltage levels in a second symbol, and the at least two signals indicate each of the first symbol and the second symbol.

12. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein the driver, the alternating current signal generator, the amplifier, and the superimposer are on a semiconductor chip.

13. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein

the driver, the alternating current signal generator, and the amplifier are on a semiconductor chip, and

the superimposer is outside the semiconductor chip.

14. The transmission device according to claim 1 , wherein

the driver is on a first semiconductor chip,

the alternating current signal generator and the amplifier are on a second semiconductor chip, and

the superimposer is outside the first semiconductor chip and the second semiconductor chip.

15. A communication system, comprising:

a transmission device configured to transmit a transmission signal that includes at least two signals; and

a reception device configured to receive the transmission signal, wherein the transmission device includes:

a driver configured to transmit the transmission signal;

an alternating current signal generator includes a phase-locked loop circuit, wherein the alternating current signal generator is configured to:

generate an alternating current signal; and

set a phase of the alternating current signal and a frequency of the alternating current signal;

an amplifier configured to:

amplify the alternating current signal generated by the alternating current signal generator; and

set an amplitude of the alternating current signal; and

a superimposer that includes at least two capacitors, wherein the at least two capacitors are configured to superimpose the alternating current signal amplified by the amplifier on the at least two signals.

16. The communication system according to claim 15 , further comprising a detector configured to detect common-mode noise in the transmission signal, wherein

the transmission device further includes a controller configured to control, based on the detection of the common-mode noise, the phase of the alternating current signal, the frequency of the alternating current signal, and the amplitude of the alternating current signal.

17. The communication system according to claim 16 , wherein the reception device includes the detector.

18. The communication system according to claim 15 , further comprising a sensor configured to detect an electromagnetic wave corresponding to the transmission signal, wherein

the transmission device further includes a controller configured to control, based on the detection of the electromagnetic wave, the phase of the alternating current signal, the frequency of the alternating current signal, and the amplitude of the alternating current signal.
