8. The drink cup lid of claim 1 , wherein the outlet closure includes a closure anchor lug arranged to extend downwardly through the top aperture formed in the annular top wall and to mate with the closure retainer and remain in a stationary position relative to the central closure upon movement of the outlet closure to the opened position, and the closure anchor lug includes at least one vertical ridge retention indentation formed in a side wall of the closure anchor lug.

9. The drink cup lid of claim 1 , wherein the generally annular basin floor is planar and defines a first horizontal plane, the annular top wall is planar and defines a second horizontal plane, and the first horizontal plane is parallel to the second horizontal plane.

10. The drink cup lid of claim 1 , wherein the ring-shaped brim mount includes a top ridge, the outer wall of the central closure includes an annular lower edge, a ring-shaped low-elevation liquid-retention channel extends between and interconnects the ring-shaped brim mount and the annular lower edge of the outer wall, and the ring-shaped low-elevation liquid-retention channel is arranged lower than the top ridge of the ring-shaped brim mount.

11. The drink cup lid of claim 10 , wherein the ring-shaped low-elevation liquid-retention channel defines a first horizontal plane, the liquid-discharge surface of the sunken portion of the annular top wall defines a second horizontal plane, the elevated portion of the annular top wall defines a third horizontal plane, and the generally annular basin defines a fourth horizontal plane, and wherein the first, second, third, fourth horizontal planes are generally parallel.

12. A drink cup lid comprising

a ring-shaped brim mount adapted to mate with a brim of a drink cup,

a central closure surrounded by the ring-shaped brim mount and including an annular top wall formed to include a top aperture and an adjacent liquid-discharge outlet and an outer wall arranged to extend around an entirety of a circumferential extent of the annular top wall and downwardly from the annular top wall toward an interior region surrounded by the ring-shaped brim mount,
