Abstract

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating scheduling of uplink data using demodulation reference signal and scheduled resources. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise configuring a network device with a periodic rate of specified sounding reference signals with a periodicity using radio resource control signaling. The system can further facilitate estimating channel state information associated with a channel via which the network device communicates. The system can further facilitate transmitting an uplink grant with uplink transmission parameters to set up a physical uplink shared channel, wherein the uplink transmission parameters are determined based on the channel state information. The system can further facilitate estimating scheduling parameters based on a first estimation information associated with the physical uplink shared channel.

Claims (34)

1 . A method, comprising:

transmitting, by a processing system of a user equipment including a processor, sounding reference signals (SRS) to a network equipment, wherein the SRS are transmitted at a particular periodicity:

based on the transmitting, obtaining, by the processing system, first scheduling parameters from the network equipment to be used for data transmissions over a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);

after the obtaining, sending, by the processing system, data to the network equipment over the PUSCH; and

after the sending, receiving, by the processing system, second scheduling parameters from the network equipment, wherein the second scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment based on signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) associated with the sending of the data, wherein the second scheduling parameters comprise a transmission rank indicator, and wherein the receiving the second scheduling parameters enables a periodicity of transmission of subsequent SRS to be extended without impacting latency.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the network equipment comprises a gNodeB (gNB).

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment using the SRS.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data includes demodulation reference signals (DMRS).

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the second scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment further based on the DMRS.

6 . A user equipment, comprising:

a processing system including a processor; and

a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:

transmitting sounding reference signals (SRS) to a network equipment, wherein the SRS are transmitted at a particular periodicity;

based on the transmitting, obtaining first scheduling parameters from the network equipment to be used for data transmissions over a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);

after the obtaining, sending data to the network equipment over the PUSCH; and

after the sending, receiving second scheduling parameters from the network equipment, wherein the second scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment based on demodulation reference signals (DMRS) included in the data, and wherein the receiving the second scheduling parameters enables a periodicity of transmission of subsequent SRS to be extended without impacting latency.

7 . The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein the second scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment further based on signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) associated with the sending of the data.

8 . The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein the network equipment comprises a gNodeB (gNB).

9 . The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein the first scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment using the SRS.

10 . The user equipment of claim 6 , wherein the first scheduling parameters, the second scheduling parameters, or both comprise one or more modulation and coding schemes (MCSs), one or more transmit precoding matrix indexes (TPMIs), transmit rank information (TRI), one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs), or a combination thereof.

11 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:

transmitting sounding reference signals (SRS) to a network equipment, wherein the SRS are transmitted at a particular periodicity;

based on the transmitting, obtaining first scheduling parameters from the network equipment to be used for data transmissions over a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);

after the obtaining, sending data to the network equipment over the PUSCH; and

after the sending, receiving second scheduling parameters from the network equipment, wherein the second scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment based on signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) associated with the sending of the data, demodulation reference signals (DMRS) included in the data, or a combination thereof, and wherein the receiving the second scheduling parameters enables a periodicity of transmission of subsequent SRS to be extended without impacting latency.

12 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the network equipment comprises a gNodeB (gNB).

13 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first scheduling parameters are derived by the network equipment using the SRS.

14 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first scheduling parameters, the second scheduling parameters, or both comprise one or more modulation and coding schemes (MCSs), one or more transmit precoding matrix indexes (TPMIs), transmit rank information (TRI), one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs), or a combination thereof.

15 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first scheduling parameters and the second scheduling parameters comprise a transmission rank indicator.

16 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the first scheduling parameters and the second scheduling parameters comprise a power-related parameter.

17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first scheduling parameters and the second scheduling parameters comprise a modulation scheme.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first scheduling parameters and the second scheduling parameters comprise a power-related parameter.

19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the latency relates to a delay sensitive application.

20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the delay sensitive application is associated with an ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) service.
