Abstract

The present invention provides an extract of Dendrobii Caulis with eye care effect, wherein the extract of Dendrobii Caulis has an active ingredient including a picrotoxane-type sesquiterpene. The present invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition with eye care and a use of an extract of Dendrobii Caulis for preparing a pharmaceutical composition with eye care effect.

Claims (2)

1 . A method of protecting an eye, comprising administering an effective amount of an extract of Dendrobii Caulis, wherein the extract of Dendrobii Caulis has an active ingredient comprising 2β, 3β, 11, 12-tetrahydroxypicrotoxan-3(15)-olide 11-O-β-D-glucopyranoside.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the active ingredient has a weight percentage of 12-20%.
