Abstract

The disclosure relates to novel regimens for treating an inflammatory arthritis, e.g., psoriatic arthritis, which employ a therapeutically effective amount of an Interleukin-17 (IL-17) antagonist, e.g., IL-17 binding molecule (e.g., IL-17 antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof, e.g., secukinumab) or IL-17 receptor binding molecule (e.g., IL-17 antibody or antigen binding fragment thereof).

Claims (18)

1 . A method of treating inflammatory arthritis in a patient in need thereof using secukinumab, wherein the method comprises subcutaneously administering every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks about 75 mg to about 300 mg of secukinumab to the patient, wherein the inflammatory arthritis is spondyloarthropathy or polymyalgia rheumatica.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the inflammatory arthritis is spondyloarthropathy.

3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the spondyloarthropathy is ankylosing spondylitis or psoriatic arthritis.

4 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the spondyloarthropathy is psoriatic arthritis.

5 . The method according to claim 4 , comprising subcutaneously administering a dose of 75 mg, 150 mg, or 300 mg secukinumab.

6 . The method according to claim 2 , comprising subcutaneously administering a dose of 75 mg, 150 mg, or 300 mg secukinumab.

7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the inflammatory arthritis is polymyalgia rheumatica.

8 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein secukinumab is subcutaneously administered at a dose of about 75 mg to about 300 mg every 2 weeks to the patient.

9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein secukinumab is subcutaneously administered at a dose of about 75 mg to about 300 mg every 4 weeks to the patient.

10 . The method according to claim 9 , wherein secukinumab is subcutaneously administered at a dose of about 75 mg every 4 weeks to the patient.

11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein secukinumab is administered at a dose of about 150 mg every 4 weeks to the patient.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the patient was previously administered about 150 mg secukinumab by subcutaneous injection weekly for 4 weeks.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein secukinumab is administered at a dose of about 300 mg every 4 weeks to the patient.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the patient was previously administered about 300 mg secukinumab by subcutaneous injection weekly for 4 weeks.

15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the patient was previously administered about 75 mg secukinumab by subcutaneous injection weekly for 4 weeks.

16 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the patient is an adult.

17 . A method of treating inflammatory arthritis in a patient in need thereof using secukinumab, wherein the method comprises: a) administering three to five weekly doses of about 75 mg to about 300 mg secukinumab subcutaneously to the patient, and then b) subsequently administering a maintenance dose of about 75 mg to about 300 mg secukinumab subcutaneously every two weeks to every four weeks to the patient during a maintenance regimen.

18 . The method according to claim 17 , wherein the maintenance regimen comprises a subcutaneous administration every 4 weeks.
