Abstract

An example operation includes one or more of determining an event has occurred at a location, responsive to a level of the event being above a threshold, determining vehicles heading toward the location that can display information on an exterior portion of the vehicles, requesting to display the information on the vehicles, and responsive of an approval to the requesting, sending the information to the vehicles to display.

Claims (59)

1 . A method, comprising:

determining an event has occurred at a location;

responsive to a level of the event being above a threshold, determining vehicles heading toward the location that can display information on an exterior portion of the vehicles, wherein the level of the event being above the threshold comprises receiving data from one or more of: the vehicles proximate the event, or devices proximate the event, and analyzing the received data;

requesting to display the information on the vehicles; and

responsive of an approval to the requesting, sending the information to the vehicles to display.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determination of the vehicles heading toward the location comprises:

ranking the vehicles according to a proximity of the vehicles to the location, wherein a vehicle of the vehicles nearer to the location is assigned a higher ranking; and

requesting to display the information on the vehicles with the ranking greater than a threshold.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information includes at least one of:

an arrow pointing to a safest lane to maneuver through the location;

an upcoming exit allowing the vehicles heading towards the location to maneuver around the location; and

a recommended speed of the vehicles when approaching the event and when maneuvering through the event.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the requesting to display the information is one or more of:

received on a device associated with an occupant of a vehicle of the vehicles; and

displayed on a front portion of a vehicle of the vehicles.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a frequency and content of the information are modified based on one or more of:

a distance of the vehicles from the event; and

a compliance of the information of vehicles approaching the event.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein an audio message is played on an exterior of the vehicle when the vehicles are not complying with the information.

7 . A system, comprising:

at least one processor; and

a memory, wherein the processor and the memory are communicably coupled,

wherein the processor:

determines an event has occurred at a location;

responsive to a level of the event that is above a threshold, determines vehicles that heads toward the location that can display information on an exterior portion of the vehicles, wherein the level of the event being above the threshold comprises data received from one or more of: the vehicles proximate the event, or devices proximate the event, and an analysis of the received data;

requests to display the information on the vehicles; and

responsive of an approval to the request, sends the information to the vehicles to display.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the determination of the vehicles that heads toward the location comprises:

ranks the vehicles based on a proximity of the vehicles to the location, wherein a vehicle of the vehicles nearer to the location is assigned a higher rank; and

requests to display the information on the vehicles with the rank greater than a threshold.

9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the information includes at least one of:

an arrow that points to a safest lane to maneuver through the location;

an upcoming exit that allows the vehicles that head towards the location to maneuver around the location; and

a recommended speed of the vehicles when the vehicles approach the event and when the vehicles maneuver through the event.

10 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the request to display the information is one or more of:

received on a device associated with an occupant of a vehicle of the vehicles; and

displayed on a front portion of a vehicle of the vehicles.

11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein a frequency and content of the information are modified based on one or more of:

a distance of the vehicles from the event; and

a compliance of the information of vehicles that approach the event.

12 . The system of claim 7 , wherein an audio message is played on an exterior of the vehicle when the vehicles do not comply with the information.

13 . A computer readable storage medium comprising instructions, that when read by a processor, cause the processor to perform:

determining an event has occurred at a location;

responsive to a level of the event being above a threshold, determining vehicles heading toward the location that can display information on an exterior portion of the vehicles, wherein the level of the event being above the threshold comprises receiving data from one or more of: the vehicles proximate the event, or devices proximate the event, and analyzing the received data;

requesting to display the information on the vehicles; and

responsive of an approval to the requesting, sending the information to the vehicles to display.

14 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the determination of the vehicles heading toward the location comprises:

ranking the vehicles according to a proximity of the vehicles to the location, wherein a vehicle of the vehicles nearer to the location is assigned a higher ranking; and

requesting to display the information on the vehicles with the ranking greater than a threshold.

15 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the information includes at least one of:

an arrow pointing to a safest lane to maneuver through the location;

an upcoming exit allowing the vehicles heading towards the location to maneuver around the location; and

a recommended speed of the vehicles when approaching the event and when maneuvering through the event.

16 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the requesting to display the information is one or more of:

received on a device associated with an occupant of a vehicle of the vehicles; and

displayed on a front portion of a vehicle of the vehicles.

17 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein a frequency and content of the information are modified based on one or more of:

a distance of the vehicles from the event; and

a compliance of the information of vehicles approaching the event.
