Abstract

Gaming systems that in various embodiments provide for each of a plurality of pots, when the activator occurrence indicator(s) associated with that pot reach a pot conversion level for that pot, the occurrence of the activator associated with that pot causes an enhancement of the feature associated with that pot. Gaming systems that in various embodiments provide for each of a plurality of pots, when the activator occurrence indicator(s) associated with that pot reach a pot conversion level for that pot, the occurrence of the activator associated with that pot causes that pot to switch from a perceived persistence pot to an actual persistence pot such that a subsequent activator associated with that pot can automatically cause an activation of that pot.

Claims (57)

1 . A gaming system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

cause a display, by the display device, of pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of indications of features respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of pot conversion levels respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by a display device, of symbol displays associated with but separate from the pots, the symbol displays comprising activators respectively associated with the pots;

for each of a first quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, and responsive to said activator resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication that the feature associated with said pot is an activated feature,

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to an activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot not yet reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of a change to said activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot, and

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to the activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot already reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of an enhancement associated with said pot; and

for each of the second quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

for each activated feature associated with a pot, cause a display, by the display device of an indication of use of said activated feature associated with the pot and any enhancement associated with the pot.

2 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the pot conversion levels respectively associated with at least two of the pots are different.

3 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the features respectively associated with at least two of the pots are different.

4 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein for each pot, the enhancement associated with the pot is an enhancement to the feature associated with said pot.

5 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein for each pot, the enhancement associated with the pot is an additional feature being associated with said pot.

6 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein the pots are perceived persistent pots.

7 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein for each of the displayed activators during the first quantity of activations of the symbol displays, the determination of whether the feature associated with the pot associated with the activator is activated is based on an independent random determination for the activator.

8 . A gaming system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

cause a display, by the display device, of pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of indications of features respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of pot conversion levels respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by a display device, of symbol displays associated with but separate from the pots, the symbol displays comprising activators respectively associated with the pots;

for each of a first quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, and responsive to said activator resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to the activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot already reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of an enhancement associated with said pot,

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, and responsive to said activator resulting in the activation of the pot associated with said activator, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication that the feature associated with said pot is an activated feature,

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to an activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot not yet reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of a change to said activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot, and

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to the activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of the indication of the enhancement associated with said pot; and

for each of the second quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

for each activated feature associated with a pot, cause a display, by the display device of an indication of use of said activated feature associated with the pot and any enhancement associated with the pot.

9 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the pot conversion levels respectively associated with at least two of the pots are different.

10 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the features respectively associated with at least two of the pots are different.

11 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein for each pot, the enhancement associated with the pot is an enhancement to the feature associated with said pot.

12 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein for each pot, the enhancement associated with the pot is an additional feature being associated with said pot.

13 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein the pots are perceived persistent pots.

14 . The gaming system of claim 8 , wherein for each of the displayed activators during the first quantity of activations of the symbol displays, the determination of whether the feature associated with the pot associated with the activator is activated is based on an independent random determination for the activator.

15 . A gaming system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

cause a display, by the display device, of pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of indications of features respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of pot conversion levels respectively associated with the pots;

cause a display, by a display device, of symbol displays associated with but separate from the pots, the symbol displays comprising activators respectively associated with the pots;

for each of a first quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, and responsive to said activator resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication that the feature associated with said pot is an activated feature,

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to an activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot not yet reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of a change to said activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot, and

responsive to a display, by the display device, of any one of the activators on any of the symbol displays, responsive to said activator not resulting in an activation of the pot associated with said activator, and responsive to the activator occurrence indicator associated with said pot already reaching the pot conversion level associated with said pot, cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of an enhancement associated with said pot, the enhancement being a change of said pot from a perceived persistence pot to an actual persistence pot; and

for each of the second quantity of activations of the symbol displays:

for each activated feature associated with a pot, cause a display, by the display device of an indication of use of said activated feature associated with the pot and any enhancement associated with the pot.

16 . The gaming system of claim 15 , wherein the pot conversion levels respectively associated with at least two of the pots are different.
