Abstract

The present invention provides a camera module includes a lens assembly including a liquid lens and at least one solid lens disposed above or below the liquid lens, the liquid lens including a plurality of individual electrodes and a common electrode, a driving driver supplying a voltage through the common electrode and at least one of the plurality of individual electrodes in the liquid lens, a thermistor pattern configured to measure a temperature in the liquid lens, and a control unit determining a temperature in the liquid lens using the thermistor pattern and to control the driving driver, wherein the liquid lens further includes a first plate, a second plate disposed on the first plate, and a third plate disposed under the first plate, wherein the common electrode is disposed on the first plate, and wherein the plurality of individual electrodes is disposed under the first plate.

Claims (35)

1 . A camera module, comprising:

a lens assembly comprising a liquid lens and at least one solid lens disposed above or below the liquid lens, the liquid lens comprising a plurality of individual electrodes and a common electrode;

a driving driver configured to supply a voltage through the common electrode and at least one of the plurality of individual electrodes in the liquid lens in order to control an interface of the liquid lens;

a thermistor pattern configured to measure a temperature in the liquid lens; and

a control unit configured to determine a temperature in the liquid lens using the thermistor pattern and to control the driving driver,

wherein the liquid lens further comprises:

a first plate comprising a cavity in which a conductive liquid and a non-conductive liquid are disposed;

a second plate disposed on the first plate; and

a third plate disposed under the first plate,

wherein the common electrode is disposed on the first plate,

wherein the plurality of individual electrodes is disposed under the first plate,

wherein the first plate includes a first surface, a portion of the first surface being attached to the second plate,

wherein the thermistor pattern is disposed on the first surface of the first plate together with the common electrode,

wherein the first surface of the first plate includes four corners, the common electrode is disposed on a first two of the four corners and defines edges of the first two of the four corners and the thermistor pattern is disposed on a remaining two of the four corners and defines edges of the remaining two of the four corners, and

wherein the thermistor pattern is electrically and physically isolated from the common electrode by an insulation film, the insulation film being disposed between the first plate and the second plate.

2 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern is disposed between the first plate and the second plate.

3 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the liquid lens further comprises:

a first connection substrate configured to supply the voltage to the plurality of individual electrodes; and

a second connection substrate configured to supply the voltage to the common electrode.

4 . The camera module according to claim 3 , wherein the thermistor pattern is electrically connected to the second connection substrate.

5 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern comprises a divalent cation metal oxide and a trivalent cation metal oxide.

6 . The camera module according to claim 5 , wherein the divalent cation metal oxide comprises nickel oxide (NiO), and the trivalent cation metal oxide comprises dimanganese trioxide (Mn2O3).

7 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein a resistance value of the thermistor pattern has a negative (−) temperature coefficient.

8 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern has a resistance in a range of 1 kΩ to 100 kΩ in a temperature range of −30° C. to 80° C.

9 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern is not in direct contact with each of the conductive liquid and the non-conductive liquid.

10 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern has a line shape or a bar shape.

11 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern is adjacent to the cavity.

12 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the thermistor pattern includes two different materials.

13 . The camera module according to claim 12 , wherein the two different materials include two or more different metal oxides.

14 . The camera module according to claim 13 , wherein the two different materials are formed so as to mix in one pattern, rather than being spatially divided into two regions.

15 . The camera module according to claim 3 , wherein the second connection substrate includes two separate terminals, voltage for temperature measurement being applied to the two separate terminals.

16 . An optical device, comprising the camera module according to claim 1 .

17 . The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the insulation film is formed of any one of an insulating material, an insulating adhesive material, or glass.

18 . The camera module according to claim 3 , wherein the four corners of the first surface of the first plate are exposed by the second plate.

19 . The camera module according to claim 18 , wherein the four corners of the first surface of the first plate are connected to the second connection substrate.
